Altair Quinn Castillo, or Quinn as everyone knows him, is certainly not the type of person you would bring home to meet your family. Of course if you didn’t know him for very long, you may not realize just how much that’s true. What made Quinn the way he is you ask? Well there was never one specific moment that made him this way. His childhood was spent listening to the sounds of his parents fighting, having only ever gotten married in the first place due to Quinn‘s mother having gotten pregnant with him and his sister. The Castillo family held a quality reputation, and the family certainly held more traditional values, leading the pair to marry out of necessity before the children were born. Of course, the failing relationship between his parents left a mark on Quinn in the way he approaches relationships. The one thing that would ever make Quinn take a step back to admit and ever make up for his wrongdoings, was his sister, Finch. She was the one person he would actually listen to. However, over the past couple of years, Quinn has only grown worse.

Mid-sophomore year, Quinn’s parents divorced, and the agreement was made that Finch would remain in Beryl with their father, while Quinn would move away with their mother. Quinn was not only leaving the place he grew up and everyone he knew, but also his sister. Quinn could still keep up with some of what was going on in Beryl, even visiting occasionally, but he was still seperate from the world of Cerulean high that his twin sister remained in. Until now. Just before senior year began came the worst news imaginable. Finch was dead. Quinn had lost his twin sister, the one relationship he had that he actually cared about. With Finch gone, Quinn’s coming back where he grew up, where she lived, to be present for his dad, to deal with the loss himself, and finish high school where everything began, and maybe win Blue Royalty while he’s at it. Let’s be clear here, anyone who knows Quinn, knows he’s a player. He’s a manipulative, arrogant, a-hole, always fine to leave a trail of broken hearts behind him. Friends, yeah he can be a good friend, if you can deal with him. He does have his weak points, such as his sister, but even in his vulnerabilities, you better be careful how you push him. You wouldn’t want him as an enemy.

Crap hits close to home. Maybe this is why I made Mia and Tyler twins. I want to portray what I never had.
