Like, happy that I wasn’t alone? I don’t know how to explain it, but for once, it felt like there was someone out there who actually… got it. And yeah, that was a lot to process.”

“I don’t… shocked? Surprised by all of it. React? Uh, like any sane person would react when their entire fcking world gets flipped on its head, thanks for asking. But it was just… weird, you know? Because the craziest part is I’ve known my birth mother since I was a kid—through Sophie. Like, imagine finding out someone who’s been in your life all this time is actually your mom. That fcks with your head a little. So yeah, it was a lot to wrap my brain around.”
