So we’re currently at over 180 users. That’s amazing! It’s also less than 100 users until we start taking applications for 2-3 new leaders among the ranks (and promoting one of our current leaders to mod through an election). That happens when we hit 250 users!
So with that in mind, I want to let you know what you can do to improve your chances of becoming a leader!
-
Stay active – There are a few amazing users who expressed an interest in joining our team last time. The catch? Well, they aren’t as active now as they were then! That’s going to hurt your chances of joining the staff team as it will mean we’re not sure if we can rely on you to be here once a day or so to help us out. If you’re interested in the staff position, get active now! We have stats that help us to decide who the most active users are. We’ll only count it from now until the next leadership application opens, so start now!
-
Be friendly and helpful – of course, those are qualities we’re looking for in our mods. If you can help people on the forums in any way, please do! Friendly people also rule. We wouldn’t want our staff members to be mean or rude to other users, of course!
-
Contribute to a range of topics – as leaders, as well as making sure that people aren’t swearing, merging, moving, closing topics and all that jazz, one of your biggest jovs will be to contribute to other topics and help to keep them alive. So we need leaders who have stuff to say about all kinds of topics! If you get stuck talking about Episode most of the time, we won’t be able to pick you because we don’t know if you can handle speaking about writing, art, adding to the forum games, speaking about political stuff and all the other topics we have out there.
-
Use your invite link – We know many of you have been referring the forums to other people. The more you do that, the quicker we get to the next leadership application time! But make sure to use your referral link so that we can see how many people you’ve brought onto the forums! That way, we can see how invested you are in the forums and how much of an effort you make to help us.

Keep swearing to a minimum – as you know, I run this forum on Google AdSense. Google’s been very touchy about swear words, as you probably noticed from how many YouTubers have been demonitised recently. We don’t want this forum to become demonitised, so please censor out your swear words using symbols like * or $. You decide! Using the blur option doesn’t stop Google Bot from seeing the swears!
Have fun! This forum was made for us to all have fun on! We love a good uplifting staff member who can be fun and lighthearted! The forums can get heavy from time to time, so it would be great for you to show us your fun side!
