She had eagerly awaited the event for weeks, making the decision to attend despite feeling quite unwell. In the time she spent preparing, she had mustered up all of her strength to pretend she was fine. She’d chosen to ignore the unsettling feeling in her chest and the prickling sensation on her skin, but as she strapped the intricately designed mask to her face, a spell of dizziness made the ground beneath her start to sway. Her vision blurred, and she stumbled, feeling weaker with each passing moment.
