honestly tho, in my experience, it’s pretty easy to find that balance once classes actually start and you get a feel for what each day looks like

You might start skipping classes and just cramming before exams for those that are too easy
Because in first year you’re definitely gonna have easier classes (in my experience)

i have earplugs for when i go to parties and/or clubs
but i never stay at the parties for long bc i end up getting overstimulated

everyone goes crazy with parties when you first move in bc it’s a new environment and new people but it kinda dies down once school starts

I also found I had more free time/down time in first year bc I lived on campus and could leave my room 10 minutes before class and still get there on time
I could also go back to room between classes even if I only had an hour break

We had so many parties with djs and concerts when we first started, it was insane

My first year was during covid so we couldn’t really have concerts and stuff like that but there was a (not totally legal) street party every night during our move-in period
I went once with my friends but I didn’t stay very long bc it was too crowded for my liking
