“Hello?” Vincenzo asked, “why do you sound so displeased to see me?” He loosened his arm at his side, and then swung it hard over Dominic’s shoulder, trying to scare him. Then he laughed to himself, “I wish I was a bit more inebriated right now, this would be funnier,” and then took his free hand for a swig from his flask. Then he raised it up a bit again to offer some to ‘Nic.’ Upon the man’s decline, he rolled his eyes. By then, he had drank enough to take the edge off, but not enough to avoid annoyance.

But then the man mentioned a mystery outside of the coven, and Vincenzo paused. Initially, he had heard of the middle of his sentence and his heart had skipped a beat, thinking that Dominic was investigating one of Vinnie’s own secrets. But upon the revelation that he was looking for something outside of the coven, however, Vincenzo was only puzzled, beginning to zone out as the man replied.
Could he be looking into Adrian Dear‘s business? Was he wondering about the disappearances? Or could magic? Something else? But who else did he know on campus?
He asked himself and then he remembered his conversation with Lenore, which he was still a bit upset about, and supposed maybe he could have friends. Could he have girlfriends? if so, it really was true that women preferred scrawny men because that man was a twig in Enzo‘s eyes. He was a little foldable pretzel from the lands of Germany with his pencil-like features. Thinking about that made him smile a bit, and then he recovered to answer his statement, shaking his head to zone back in.

“So what are you looking for?” Vincenzo raised his brows, and then relaxed some. “Don’t worry about telling me, I can’t judge.”
And even though Nic sounded quite nervous, Vincenzo felt it reasonable to believe him. There were many things outside of the Academy figuratively… but physically, where did he plan to go? Because he would not get far either way…

“You weren’t trying to run away, were you?” The man inquired. “Because I do assume you know that the school is surrounded by forest on all four sides. The nearest car isn’t out for miles. Though there are some entrances to get back inside, but where would you be entering Dominic? Is there a pretty girls window you’d like to see? or knowing you, pretty boy? pretty big buff, black man? Forgive me, but I don’t think you’re Kairo’s type.” Vincenzo smiled, and then cracked a small laugh at his own joke. He waited a few seconds for dramatic effect, but then got nothing. “Tough crowd,” he groaned. Then he paused again… and reflected on the power that he held over the other guy beside him.

“Come on have a drink with me. Relax, we can just talk,” he sighed, but suddenly the echo of a threat began to resonate in his voice. ”because who knows what’ll happen if you ignore me. Not like your parents would mind though, right Vaillant?” Enzo smirked, informing him of the knowledge he had gained. Although Adrian seemed to ignore his hints requesting more information on Dominic, which also irritated him because he definitely would have told Aurora, his real daughter, if she asked, he still had lazy professors who often left their computers unattended… and a knack for stalking. Most of what he found was vague, but nevertheless… perplexing. He had similar experiences to Enzo, yet as people they seemed quite different. He wished to know more… and he had and idea for what strategy he’d use to find out.
