Okay I decided to enter but it hath been a while since I did a poem :joy::joy::joy: (@passionfruit tagging so you see)

Safe under the covers
Is that how it seems?
Protected from the monsters
That haunt you in your dreams

The room has gone cold
There’s a ghost at your door
A spider on the ceiling
And a creak on your floor

Your breathing grows fast
Your stomach’s in a knot
Didn’t you do the ritual?
Which part have you forgot?

How could you be so stupid
To forget such an important step
The thing that keeps you safe
You know you have to prep!

You sink down even further
The covers are your shield
Your torch is your weapon
And like you it is concealed

You can feel a pressure above you
And no you cannot move
You can just feel the weight
What more is there to prove?

Your fear grows further
Until it suddenly fades away
Was there even a ghost?
Haunting you where you lay?

You know you must be brave
As you decide to take a peak
Of course there’s nothing there
You have never felt so weak

You come out even further
You face plastered with a grin
The danger has now passed
You didn’t let it in

Yep! I’m so happy, I’m crying! At least this time I’m happy…Why am I crying so much today? Geez. Ummm…how about Tjanksgiving? That’s the next major holiday after Halloween.
