Anyway what do you think of audiobooks? I think they can be quite relaxing, I used to listen to an audio of peter pan before I went to bed. (A Paddington bear one too).
I can struggle to keep focused on them sometimes but mostly I think they’re rad.
I like them, they are pretty cool! In high school I didn’t read anything, I never had time so I had to listen to every book, I’m grateful for them hahah
It is relaxing to listen to a book and do something on the side!
Personally, I don’t enjoy audiobooks as much as reading them myself. I like imagining the characters’ voices in my head and not some random person reading it for me
And most of the time, the reader talks super slow (and if you speed it up, it sounds weird)
I’d rather read them myself because the reader talks wayyyy too slow, and then when I’m reading along I start getting way ahead of the reader, and it irritates me that the reader is not reading what I’m reading in my head. If they talked as fast as I do in my head, then I’d probably like them more
Idk I just don’t really see the need for them if you’re like me, someone who enjoys reading and reads quite quickly anyway. I think an audiobook would only put me to sleep, and it’d take a lot longer to finish the book relying on the audiobook than just reading it myself
I’ve never listened to audiobooks, but I don’t think I’d like them. I need to be able to read it and see the words in front of me. I take the information in better that way.
personally, i prefer reading books on my own. i think the narration is too slow for me, especially when i’m reading a book for homework or to do an assignment. also, i tend to focus a lot less when it’s an audio book
