oh woah this is absolutely gorgeous!
and yeah looking at all these pics, i can see the differences between these and Cenotes
it’s so neat how similar yet unique all of these natural phenomenons are

oh woah this is impressive
i love this so much

If I understand correctly, Cenotes are basically coves with water in them, right? That doesn’t quite fully exist at that coast, but very similar things. This is sort of a cave that’s accessible by sea only, it’s very touristic, lol, that’s why I preferred to not share it at first, as that coast in my opinion has much better less touristic places…

(And yeah, my camera of my phone was messed up that day, cause of the swim to the cave. It was in a ‘waterproof’ bag but still)

Also, part of the coast lowkey reminded me of the cliffs of moher in Ireland, same feeling only this is more tropical :joy:

it’s similar but not the same
(i had to google cove bc i didn’t know the meaning in spanish >.< so correct me if i’m wrong but) cenotes are usually only accessible from above (so you have to go down some stairs) instead of from the sides and aren’t in bays? but they’re still similar from what i understand

and that makes a lot of sense lol
still, it does look kinda nice to be there

and kfjbvh valid
i think i can understand why you were reminded of them tho

Yeah, that’s what seemed to be the case from the bit of research I did already on them. Now I lowkey want to visit a cenote though, they sound even cooler honestly! Though, from what I heared when I was there, this cave was once fully closed, but with water in it, so that’s quite similar, this is just what can be the future of a cenote I guess :joy:

It was nice, but idk, the swim there was more exciting than the actual cave. Super nice fish everywhere, and I just love some physical challenge every nice and then, and it surely wasn’t the easiest swim… Though, the cave is more impressive in person than on pictures.

Picture of the real cliffs, surely very different, but sort of the general shape is quite similar. Sort of those fairly flat topped cliffs rising out of the sea and their wavy shape if you get what I mean, not sure how to explain better :joy:

Thanks, that’s my favorite as well, looks like I captured a reflection of a tree branch in water and it’s just shaking the camera in a certain way that made this effect possible

There seems to also have been a bokeh effect in that first picture, with this sort of horshoe like shape that’s been copied through the image that I really love
