Pocky are Japanese biscuit sticks covered in chocolate, there are more flavors, but chocolate is the original. Stroopwafels are Dutch Carmel waffle cookie things.

the funny thing is, there’s a whole tradition behind it.
you eat them flat at the end of the year and curled up after 12 on new years eve. it symbolizes the closed new beginning of the year vs the end of the year where they have been roled out and open.
