Since the old thread got closed down it made it easier for me to revamp this thread. Now, as voted on the What activity suggestions do you have for the forums? - #60 by CrazyCaliope(Activities voted on will be placed on staff task idea documents) users wanted writing class threads. I will be setting up a schedule where we will go over the different writing subjects on certain days. Users can ask for advice on any day for any subject though. I will help you out as best as I can.

Class Schedule

Fiction Claas - Sunday
Historical Fiction - Monday
Comedy - Tuesday
Drama - Wednesday
Romance - Thursday
Horror - Friday
Non-Fiction - Saturday

First Class - Comedy

Comedy is not my forte, to be honest. Especially when it comes to writing in books. I always feel like it’s forced but I have had others say it was funny. I’m my toughest critic after all. Which is something all writers need to keep in mind. You can always improve on what you write but don’t forget your opinion matters too. It’s your choice to actually take the step to improve though.

Here are some articles that give tips on how to write comedy. You can post below comedic pieces that you are struggling to finish. I will help as much as I can. Don’t forget if you have trouble with any part of your story you can post it here for me to help you out. If you don’t feel comfortable with posting your work then you can pm me instead! It’s perfectly normal to feel hesitant when it comes to posting your work.

I was thinking about extending the time span of the classes. So instead of one day per subject it would be per week instead. So, for instance Drama Class would be up starting on Tuesday instead.

Do you like that idea better?
  • Yes, it gives us more of a chance to work on pieces of work.
  • I’m not really sure at the moment.
  • No, I like the different writing subject once a day better.

You can still vote. You just need to pick a choice in order to vote. It shows the results so that everyone can see them. I do this on regular polls.

I can see the bubbles and click on them on the “Do you like that idea better?” But I can’t see bubbles to click on the original poster. It’s not a big deal, but yeah. that’s why I thought I voted when I didn’t XD
