The DevianArt “Don’t use references!!!” was a very weird and scary period for a beginning artist LOL.
I hate it when good artists say that their art sucks just to get compliments… I just dislike it in general when people make their own work seem bad when in fact it looks more eyemazing than anything I could ever draw…

I feel a little called out cause I sometimes say I hate my own art Haha, but honestly, when I say that I mean it and I’m simply not satisfied with how it looks (yet). But I guess I should be more careful with saying things like that

I hate how people say it’s “just a sketch” and then brag about their fully painted piece.

I hate when people imply something isn’t “real art” like that means anything
I don’t like people who look down on people for the style they draw in
No one has to draw anything for anyone else, unless they’ve made a binding contract
Doodling can help people learn, I’m not trying to disrespect a teacher by doing it
I personally dislike when people compliment my art or art in general instead of giving constructive criticism. I am at times a perpetrator of this too, but I think it’s important that we help each other improve. Does anyone have any controversial opinions on art they’d like to share?
Well, I don’t know if it’s me but i think i have trypophobia. I hate any thing that has to do with holes so if i see a painting or a drawing with lots of holes. Ugh!
I hate it when I use the line drawing tool but the line still doesn’t look straight 
Drawing isn’t the only form of art. There’s makeup, editing, music, writing, photography, videography, sculpture, performing, etc.

I hate it when I have an awesome idea to draw… then sit down and realise that my skillset simply isn’t good enough to make the idea look half decent

I hate it when I try to erase something in a drawing, but it leaves an ugly smudge, so I wish I had left it the way it was before.
