Margret Natalie Smith(28 December, 1934 - 27 September, 2024), also known as Dame Maggie Smith, was a British actress most well known for her portrayal of Professor Minerva McGonagall, as well as starring in other movies such as Hook and Gosford Park, as well as many others. She also played Violet Crowley in the period drama Downton Abbey.
