I actually took an old paperback book and covered it with blank paper and glittery Washi tape.
I designed the cover, and on the inside I pasted pages of a story I wrote exclusively for my nephew. He is the narrator. His classmates and family appear in the story, and I made them all Episode characters.
I photoshopped (well, GIMPed) this FC Barcelona jersey onto him because he loves Messi and the Barcelona soccer team.
It’s supposed to be a gift for his 9th birthday, which is on Thursday, but on Tuesday morning, he, his mom, and his brother are going to Chicago for a whole year, so I gave him this 39-page book with illustrations/edits as an early birthday/going away present. I think he loved it because I saw him carrying it with him to the car this evening so he could read it on the way to pick up his dad from work.
(Why do I always have to write such long personal anecdotes???)
