So why do you like to ship characters so much?
i think this is due to how interaction oriented RPs are. Characters’ development depend on interactions most of the time, and between those interactions one is bound to find a certain pair of characters that just… have chemistry, if that makes sense. I don’t have many ships with my own characters, but the ones i do have are based mostly on that, character dynamic and how the relationship would affect my characters.
Do you often ship characters?
I’d say i don’t? at least not with most characters
i’m a biiig slow burn fan and it takes me a long time to even consider romance as an option for my characters
the multiple character ships i ended up having w a friend are an accident but i love those

- SOLCHRIS (Christoper Stark and Solfrid Thorsdottir from Exousía): they have an amazing enemies to reluctant allies to rivals to friends to super mega best friends to lovers, the slowest slowburn i’ve ever written (seriously, Chris needs to get his sh-t together), mutual pining, a smidge of angst and an amazing development from “ew get away from me” to “THAT’S MY WIFE! HAVE YOU SEEN MY WIFE? I LOVE HER”
- Valen Lokison / Laith al Ghul (also Exousía): be gay do crimes in name of your family but also have each other’s back and support each other through anything, the softest villain ship i’ve written
- Roderick Eli Grimaldi / Cael Murphy (Road Trip SG (+ an old RP that never happened)): i swear these two should just get married. Cael gave Roderick life and hope, and Roderick would do anything to see his boyfriend fulfill his goals

Usually ships keep people interested. I found that if someone is really “in” the rp/sg they will have tons of ships and enemies, and you can really tell the creators having fun with ships. I tend to like ships with a comedy character and someone. It’s usually stupid and makes no sense be eventually you can see down the line that the ship might work.
