So, I've started writing on Episode

Oki, hiiiiiii 'tis me
Yes, I am starting on yet another project. someone please tell me to stop before I burn out

Anyway, I know nothing about writing on episode :joy:, so I was wondering if anyone has some nifty little tips/tricks? I’m a perfectionist, so all in all, I’m aware this is gonna take time lmao

Also, I tried to put in the code that allows the reader to choose their own name, but it doesn’t work? Anyone have code that does work for that?? Pls and thank you it’d really be appreciated

It’s not working for me

I put in this:

input What is your name? | What is your name? | Done (NAME)
NARR
Hello [NAME]

with the correct indentings for the narrator and all
but in the preview I can’t choose a name, and [NAME] just comes out as “Auto Bot”

Also, by any chance do you know how to put art scenes in? I can’t find a guide for it

You have to upload it as a background!

You click on the art catalog and click background then press:

And select the image, just make sure the sizes are correct and enter a name!

The guides available on the site are super handy-- i used to reference them when i was coding before i got it in my head, and i still use them with overlays because i cannot learn how to use them for the life of me :+1:

Oooh, and if you need anyone to make an art scene feel free to ask me! If you want. It’s up to you. You don’t have to.

I’ve been on Episode for YEARS! Lol. Just ask me anything, I’ll probably know the answer or where to get the code/info. I don’t do too advanced coding, however, I’ve found that if I was really interested in doing that, I could find out how to do just about anything since I’ve just been doing this for so long. But coding does take work and is tiring for me so I mostly just write without choices/great coding.
