It’s honestly really degrading how the comment section of the thread is making it seem like only cis-heteros are the only ones capable of making offensive/stereotypical/low-brow content featuring LGBT+. And saying “if you don’t experience it, you shouldn’t write it,” defeats the purpose of what writers are meant to do: tell a story. You don’t need to experience something in order to write it. As long as you care for the topic and do your research correctly, I don’t see a problem but that’s just me.
