With permission from the principal to skip one more day to catch up, Ethan headed to the school’s library. He sighed looking at the long list of missing assignments, starting to question if he made a mistake working the kind of job he did while still in school. Shrugging his thoughts aside, he set up his laptop, gathered the books he needed and went to work.
Three hours had passed by before he knew it. He really began questioning his decisions when he heard a voice, looking up he saw Kendrie, she remarked at his state of studying, eyeing his various textbooks stacked up: AP Geometry, AP Calculus, World History, AP Chemistry, Honors French, at this point he probably should’ve listened to his mother about his course load…and a job. “What do you want?” He asked curtly before sighing, “Sorry, I am just…busy. How did I miss a 3 page paper, 2 exams, a team project, and a lab experiment all in the same week?” He finished the rest of his Powerade and set the bottle down looking at his watch, he still had a long way to go.
