Diego
Diego had been used to moving around and being forced to settle in fast but living at a school was somehow different. He wasn’t sure if it was bad different or good different but he assumed it would take time to truly know. For now all he knew was that it was different and that he was trying to adapt to that different. It didn’t help that this new different of St. Andrews also seemed to coincide with when his best friend was going though a hard move too. Saphira had mentioned having to move and how she had been upset to leave her nana but other than that he hadn’t really heard from her for a few days. He didn’t have that many memories of his parents so he couldn’t fully relate to how Saphira felt to leave her nana but he had other people in his life before that had meant a lot to him so he could understand and sympathize. He had messaged her a few times offering his support and a shoulder if she needed someone. He could at least do that. He had also sent a few messages about tips he had gathered for how to make a random place feel like you belong there that he had picked up over the years. Other than that though he had mostly left Saphira alone to come to him with what she needed. He didn’t want to bother here by being overbearing. With that thought his phone buzzed and he smiled as he saw a message from her.
Diego: You know Im always here for you. How many moves have you been with me for. Countless honestly. But for real I’m always here for you want to talk or anything. Not to sound insensitive where is it that you are going Saph?
When Monday rolled around Diego had gotten up to get breakfast and prepared for his classes. He had packed his duffle bag to grab from his room after his last class and before practice and he had packed all of his notebooks and textbooks into his backpack before heading out to class. He still hadn’t really heard much back from Saphira and honestly that worried him a bit but he wanted to give her space. He decided that if by noon he hadn’t heard anything still he would send her another message to check in. Diego had headed outside to take a shortcut around the building to another entrance to get to his first class. That was when from a distance he saw a girl trip and fall and her things went flying. He jogged up towards her and set his bag down on the ground as he picked her things up then offered her a hand. “Hey you ok there. That was quite a spill.”
