Theo had just left Ace’s classroom and was heading back to his office when he saw someone walk in. He stood there quietly since the student had started talking. He had talked with Luke a few times at this point. Mostly about college and grades. He didn’t want to shut the door because he didn’t want to scare Luke. So he stood there listening to him talk.
“I’m having relationship problems and I don’t know what to do about them. You probably heard about me being engaged to my girlfriend Wren. I think everyone has probably heard about it by now. A post of mines with our wedding rings went viral on social media. Anyways um, the thing I’m havin a problem with is, whether I like someone else. It’s a guy here named Enzo. I don’t want to break her heart. And I’m pretty sure I love her. I just. I don’t know if… I don’t know if I like guys…”
He was in the office already with his back to the door. So, he didn’t see Enzo walking and stop outside his office. Theo took time to process what the kid was saying. He had missed the thing about him and his girlfriend being engaged. Then the kid said he wasn’t sure if he liked guys. Theo stood there processing what to say. Then when he was ready he walked over to his seat across from Luke. He sat down and smiled at him. “Well hello there Luke… I would ask how you are doing, but it seems you have a lot going on.” He paused to take a sip of his water bottle.
“So, let’s talk about everything you just said… Yes… I heard it all.” He said as he looked up at Luke. “Well… Let me start my firstly saying… You are a little young to be engaged… Secondly, that being said… I feel like if you were 100% sure you were ready to be married then you wouldn’t be questioning things.” He said as he grabbed a pen and started jotting down some notes. “I get not knowing if you like guys. It took me a little while to figure that out myself… Well actually it wasn’t till my ex girlfriend just up and left me. Anyways… This isn’t about me. So… Enzo… Huh?” He said with a smirk on his face.
“Doesn’t he have a girlfriend??? Aren’t they serious too? Have you ever told him… that you think you like him?” He heard a noise outside the office. He realized he forgot to shut the door. Well… it wasn’t wide open, but wasn’t fully shut either. That was hen he noticed the outline of someone standing outside his office. He really hoped it was someone else who needed to talk to him, and not anyone involved in this conversation. After all it is a private conversation.
“I think… You… well I think you should be honest with your girlfriend… Sorry I mean fiancée. I think she deserves to know. On that note, maybe you should also talk to Enzo. If he doesn’t have those feelings for you… Then why ruin your relationship… Follow your heart is the best advice I can give you. Sometimes… You got to explore things to know.” He paused again. Letting his advice sink for Luke.
“So, I guess my question for you… is… Do you think this crush is worth messing up your relationship over? If the answer is no… Then don’t change anything. If you feel it’s worth possibly blowing your life up for… Then go for it. Ultimately the decision is yours. Nobody can feel what you feel Luke.” He wrote some more in his notebook.
“At your age… it is okay to not know if you like boys, girls or both. or anyone. It could be about an emotional connection versus a $3xu@l attraction. You might only have an emotional connection to Enzo… You could possibly only find him attractive and not have an emotional connection. It might not be something you can figure out overnight. However, you owe it to both yourself and your fiancée to figure it out before y’all actually get married.” He then waited for Luke to process everything and respond. He would answer any questions Luke had, or try his best too anyways.

Wren was excited that she had a free period after lunch. She had decided she would go and surprise her fiance Luke over at St Andrew’s. She drove over there using her brother’s car. She got there and parked the car. She didn’t text him that she was coming. She wasn’t even sure where to find him. So, she started walking around. She wandered down a hallway when she heard his voice from around the corner. She smiled as quitely rounded the corner.
Then her eyes feel on a guy listening to Luke. She stood there in shock. Not only that this guy was standing out there listening, but by what her fiance was saying. She already knew he had a crush on Enzo, because she overheard Luke telling Magnolia about it. By the look on the guy’s face… She felt this must be Enzo. She looked at the guy standing there. She took in his appearance. If she must admit it… He was hot…
She could see why look would find him attractive… like him… whatever… She did wonder though if Luke and Enzo ever did anything… Did they kiss… Did they do more… or was it just an emotional connection… was it more… Did Enzo like Luke back… Would this be the guy who ends her happy ever after. She went back around the corner and slinked herself down to the floor as she put her head down and listened. To anyone walking by or looking. It would just look like she was crying against the wall.
Would Luke pick Enzo over her. Her mind started racing. She sat there listening… Waiting to see what Luke would say. All she knew for sure was there was this handsome guy outside listening to her fiance confessing he had feelings for a guy. or well possibly did. What if this guy outside the office put that on the blog. She started freaking out some. What did this all mean. At least the guy talking to him was trying to give him helpful advice.
Jade was laying breathless in Enzo’s arms. She had told him she loved him. Normally he would say it back. She got a little nervous when he didn’t say it back immediately. Was things really that different now… Before she left for her trip… They had $3x then said I love you to each other before he walked out of her dorm that daty. Her mind didn’t start thinking anything bad at first. She listened to him say hey, and for her not to say things like that unless she wanted to ruin him. She was confused by this. His words echoed in her head.
“Don’t start saying things like that unless you mean to ruin me, hm?” She heard him stutter I before swallowing hard and kissing her. It made it seem as if he thought kissing her would be a substitute for saying I love you too What does that even mean She thought to herself. Then he pulled away and brushed a strand out of her face. He said he was gonna go grab them something. He pressed a final kiss to her temple before slipping out of the room. She was confused and hurt. Does he not love me anymore? Did I do something wrong? Should I have picked Ian over Enzo
Her mind raced with thoughts as she laid there wondering what happened while she was gone to make him act like this upon her return. He was so happy to see her at the airport and now… Now this… Running off after making love to each other. She laid in the bed for a moment while thinking. I’m not even hungry… I just wanted to cuddle him… Maybe he knows about Ian… After all most of the school knew we were hooking up, but Enzo and I weren’t together at the time. So… it’s not like I cheated on him… Something else has to be going on here.
She got the bed and got dressed. Then she left the room. She could see him in the distance. She followed behind him at a good little distance. She watched him walk in the hall going towards the counselor’s office. She knew another way, so she took that way. She ended up coming down the stairs across from the counselor’s office. Well the stairs were across from a hall and the office was right there on the corner. Enzo was outside the office. She could just see him but barely. She knew he could see her. Then she looked in the hall and saw a girl crying slinked down to the floor. She wondered what was wrong with this girl.
However, she needed to watch her man. She wondered why he was just standing outside the office. She thought maybe he wanted to talk to Theo. She had heard that he had a son that went here. The son was actually one of her ex hook ups. She still couldn’t believe that Theo was Luca’s bio dad. She knew that Theo and Luca had been close, but now it made sense, but however, since that came out… Luca and Theo seemed to not talk as much. Theo was talking kind of loud. She could make out some of the things he was saying.
It wasn’t till she heard her boyfriend’s name, " So… Enzo… Huh?” that she listened in harder. She was trying to piece together who Theo was talking to and why her man’s name came up. Her eyes and mind wondered back to the girl. She thought about going to check on her, but didn’t want Enzo to see her. She was technically spying on her boyfriend. What did that make her… Then right as she was about to sneak over to the girl… She heard Theo say the name of the person he was talking to. Luke Jade couldn’t believe what she was hearing… From the bits she heard Theo say…
It sounded like Luke had a crush on Enzo. She couldn’t blame him… Who wouldn’t have a crush on her hot boyfriend. So… Enzo just heard it all too. Jade wondered if how Enzo would react to this. While she wanted to go check on the girl… She had to watch for Enzo’s reaction to this revelation… Maybe this is why he couldn’t say it back… Maybe… Maybe something happened between them while she was gone. She felt her heart break some at the realization that this could be why Enzo didn’t say it back. Maybe he doesn’t love her anymore. Maybe things had changed between them. She stood there hidden from Enzo’s site but watched for his reaction to what Theo was saying.
She wondered how this would affect them. Would this change things forever… Would they be able to work through this. The damage to her relationships were done. She only had Enzo… She left Ian… She picked Enzo over Ian… What would happen if Enzo picked Luke. Their relationship went from enemies to lovers, but maybe… just maybe it was something Enzo did to just pass the time… or maybe he was with her… to try and hide he liked a guy… or maybe… he just fell out of love with her… She really thought Enzo enjoyed the pictures she sent him at Christmas. However, the way he got up and out the bed and ran out the door when she said I love you to him…
It broke her heart some. It took all over her not to cry at the thought of losing him. However, now was not the time or place to break down in tears. She had to be strong. Then for a moment she thought maybe… maybe if Enzo did choose Luke… Then maybe she could choose Ian. Then again Ian probably hated her now too after the way she left New Zealand. She leaned closer to the corner that she was hiding behind to get a better look at Enzo’s reaction to what Theo was telling Luke.
She couldn’t fault anyone for having a crush on Enzo. She knew he was hot. She knew she was lucky. She didn’t want to lose him… Not now… Not ever. However, she knew now also wasn’t the time to come out of hiding and be seen. She had to wait for the right time. She had to know Enzo’s reaction… Maybe they needed to hear what Luke would say back to Theo first, but she kept her eyes on Enzo with baited breath.
