I didnt see a problem with it tbh.
Yeah it seems “white savior-y”(after ppl pointed it out) but it really depends on what the storys about. Hopefully not goin tht route
Then again im just shocked tht ppl arent half naked on the cover in suggestive poses x3 like 95% of covers

The first message I got about this cover was from Lana Augustine, I guess she was giving me a warning that my cover would seem a bit controversial, and I thought I didn’t think it would, but as soon as a lot of messages pop up, it was.

The truth is that your cover isn’t the end of the world if your story has a good portrayal of black people. However, it’s a lot harder to portray things right. Having a good cover is a great way to make sure you start on the right foot with your readers

But I’m guessing that you didn’t know, so people shouldn’t really blame you, but rather, the cover artist?

Oh. Well, as long as it doesn’t negatively portray people of color, you should be fine.
However, a cover is an essential part of the first impression of your, or any, story.
