Oh my god my first day of high school went horribly.
In my form i only knew about 3 people from my primary but i met the others at inset days. It was very awkward. And this guy lets call him “bob” well bob decided to move my chair before i sat down so i landed on the floor
And i obviously swore at him and called him a lot of not very nice words my teacher did not care at all
From that day forward me and “bob” were constantly at war, and then we became friends but now i don’t speak to anyone from my school anymore because they were all toxic and i’ve just cut them all out of my life.
I remember in high school I got my class list and saw that I had “Fine Art 1-2” as my very first class, of my very first day. I at that time in my life, thought art was either for hippies or snobs and had previously hated any art class. I get to the class early and hear Led Zeppelin blasting out from the classroom, I walk in to find a rad looking middle aged man air guitar-ing and singing along wearing a paint splattered apron, working on a cool abstract art piece. Sat next to friends who I noticed. First activity was to draw without ever lifting the pencil or looking at the paper, just at our subject matter. All while classic rock was playing in the background, and it was then I realized I may end up liking high school.
I went to like 3 different primary schools, but the last one which was the one I was in for the rest of my time there, on the first day apparently I was crying and didn’t like the teachers and I vomited after trying the school food.
In secondary school, on my first day I was so lost but I had most of my friends from my previous school with me and my sister, who’s a year older than me, just helped me and I made new friends, it was actually kinda dope.
I remember being so lonely on the first day of middle school. I didn’t know anyone at the school. Only a few kids who I wasn’t friends with. I ate lunch with some random girls I didn’t know, and spent recess (yes, we had recess) talking to the guidance counselor, bc I was so lonely. I also remember having this fluffy backpack, and these girls kept touching it- It took me until the end of the day to finally make a friend. They came up to me, bc I was (and still am) too shy to start a conversation with people.
I remember that I was one of the first one who arrived to the elementary school with my mom but there were already a pair of twins there lol. So we started playing and we’ve been friends ever since. I wasn’t always with them, but we were always really close. The class was quite small so I knew everyone fairly well. But these two amazing people are the only ones with whom I’ll never lose contact with.
I transferred school in seventh grade with a couple of other people in my class. I think I went together with them the first day of school (we all lived quite close to each other) It was quite natural to hang out with them and we had a nice little friend group with some new people too.
My first day of high school, oof it was sooo awkward. I was happy I knew some people so I wasn’t standing all alone because we were all out in front of the school and they were calling out names so we can see who was in our class. I wasn’t lucky enough to be with anyone I knew so that made me sad.
Then we all went, well my classmates, to one classroom and I think I was sitting all alone and I had to introduce myself first… worst thing ever. But looking around at everyone and hearing what they had to say I could see they were all super cool and I wasn’t wrong
I don’t remember what happened on my first day of high school but some things I do remember:
on the first day of middle school I was walking around with a friend and we got terribly lost and a teacher ended up having to point us in the right direction when they saw us lost after class had started
on the first day of online classes, my audio didn’t work at all with my headphones and I had no idea what was happening
