Stranger Things Thread

I loved the neverending story part of it! I was watching it at a different time to my Mum so I got to it first. I told her there was a scene I loved and she was soooo curious but I didn’t spoil it then she got to it and immediately knew :joy:

Oh, I loved it too… but it was very dramatic and the end… Not trying to spoil too much.

That’s rad :sunglasses:

Oh, you got El and you’re El… What? :scream:

Hmmm, now that I think about it… Stranger Things wasn’t that good. I don’t understand how I was so obsessed with it. Probably because I hadn’t seen anything better. Season 3 ruined it. It killed the Stranger Things semi dark vibe. Season 1 was the best in my opinion, season 2 was okay, and season 3 was just some childish relationship drama. Because, let’s be honest, the 14 year old characters are acting like they are 9. Especially Eleven. And that “makeover” she had wasn’t necessary at all. It was like Eleven completely altered her personality after going shopping one time. I don’t like Eleven. I never liked her that much anyway, but I feel like Stranger Things 3 ruined her character completely. They changed the series purpose just because it was a success. If you disagree with me, of course you can! My opinion is just my opinion, after all.

I agree, season 3 wasn’t stranger things, it was clueless or grease. I don’t like how Will went from battling the demons in his head to saying he wants to play d&d all the tiime or how Eleven wasn’t afraid to fight the demogorgons but now she is hurt from Mike telling a white lie.
If I wanted to watch teenage drama, i would have watched gossip girl. They made the whole point of the season being about el’s drama with Mike

Hmm while I can see where you are both coming from I will disagree

Tbh there were certain parts of season 3 which I found darker, especially when you see the back story of Max’s brother who’s name appears to have slipped my mind :joy: also there was more character development in general.

Tbh I feel like they were acting their age, there are many 14 year olds who are act like this :joy: yes it is a little annoying but watching the characters grow can help form a connection with them, even if their actions are a little…irritating.

Well I think that makes sense considering she spent most of her life in a weird facility where she was treated as though she wasn’t even human, she’s impressionable! However, with this said it did seem to just to add an extra plotline that wasn’t needed. It was like they tried to rush the development instead of just putting it throughout the series. It definitely wasn’t my favourite storyline.

She still fought at the end though, that didn’t change she just kinda gained feelings :joy:

Will has been through toughhhh times though, all he wants to do is play D&D all the time, fair enough give the boy a break. It would have been worse if they had given him another demon to fight because that would just be like repeating plotlines.

Hmm, well… I have heard the first episode’s title is ‘The Hellfire Club’
I think the children are growing up so i think they try smoking or drugs or maybe Will joins a new club in the new city he and el moved called the hellfire club.

Also i think new kids will join the main club.
