I know people who despise dubbed anime but for a person like me with an awful attention span, dubbed anime is just easier for me to watch. Even if the voices do sound a little strange so what is everybody elses thoughts?
To me it kinda depends. Most of the time I watch subbed anime because for some reason I can’t listen very well (brother sometimes screams and then I can’t hear what they are saying) reading makes it easier for me to follow. But sometimes I’m just lazy and I wanna watch a dubbed one even if I can’t hear it very well
I watch everything in it’s original language as I don’t like how in dubs they are changing some of the stuff the characters are actually saying and sometimes jokes and wordplays get lost. And most of the time it just sounds better.
I prefore dubbed. but to be fair I grew up with dubbed evrything because I am not english. also I often have tv showes in the background while doing something els
I like dubbed better, a lot of the anime I watch is action so it’s hard to read the text and watch the scenes at the same time.
subbed. I can’t with how the mouth and words don’t line up.
Subbed.
After listening to what was made to the Dragon Ball Z movie, I swore to myself to never fall on the dubbed trap
Subbed! I like to read captions for some reason. One of the dubs I disliked the most is Vampire Knight. I couldn’t stand hearing one more second of it .
subbed
Subbed
I don’t like anime so I’m just gonna put a poll here…
- Subbed
- Dubbed
NANI!
And they say Baka wasn’t everywhere (jokes)
I think it depends on the voice actors. I started one piece on dubbed and I like the dub better than the sub, but most shows I can watch sub…
Dub though is good!
both
Prefer subbed though
It really depends for me I am dyslexic so reading subs that move rather fast is really hard for me but I have gotten better with it. That is why I generally prefer dub but on the flip side I like how with sub the meaning of things is usually closer to the original than the dub Also the dubbed voices can sometimes be really annoying.
I don’t watch much anime but I would say subbed for movies and series in general. I just strongly dislike dubbed stuff
I prefer subbed for pretty much everything! The mouths move awkwardly and a lot of the time the emotion in anime is conveyed better in the subbed version rather than the dubbed version. It’s also interesting to listen and learn some new words in other languages or practice them when listening to subbed versions.
Same!!!
Moved to anime category!!
Sometimes, the dubbed anime just sounds so, unnatural.
I have bad eyes, so dubbed is a lot better for me.
