Also curious how do you guys pronounce my characters’ names? Even I don’t know how to do it :sob:

But that’s because i in Dutch is the list sound

So if I want to have Ca-Lee-sa

We would write it like this:

Caliesa

Iva-dreel

With a rolling R

That’s the exact way I wrote it

You confuse me with these

But don’t count me because for the longest time I pronounced sword as

Sw-ord
Like I pronounced the w

Same

English pronunciation is hard to learn because sometimes it breaks its own rules

I just remebered … How would you guys pronounce Aardal’s father’s name?

His name is Viggtyr Stian, good luck

Just ignore me because dutch sounds are weird anyway:

Our A is how you usually say Aaaah

Our E sounds like the A

Our I/ie sounds like E (or like I in list)

Our ij/ei sounds like I (island)

Our U sounds like U in burger HOWEVER!!!
UU makes a sound that no English word has

O sounds like o in Rock but OO sounds like Open

Eu is also a sound y’all don’t use I think in english.

We pronounce the W always.

not to mention some english words are spelled the same here but have a different meaning:

Been = leg
Leek = looked
Drop = liquorice
boom = tree

So yeah ignore every way I pronounce things

Uhm…with a hard G, which I can’t explain, but you’d had that sound.

What’s the difference between a hard and soft g?
