Fable: Genocide is bad. I recommend you not.

but would he still follow Dux´s order as a leader?

Oh no, not Genocide, not after what happened with Eurovision this year!

we do NOT talk about that :sob:

The entire final, our commentators were taking every oppertunity to mention Joost’s disqualification and everything. When we got Nikki’s message that she wasn’t going to announce the jury’s points (we got that minutes before the actual show) some old contestance had to cry

The netherlands are currently sueing Eurovision and it’s being questioned if we should participate next year.

The entire mood around eurovision here is really down, it’s really sad to see tbh. even now it’s still very tense.

I think what caused a lot of anger is that we’re still not sure what it was that happened. They confirmed some things but there’s still a lot up for speculation. And there would’ve been so many more ways to have punished Joost. Example: x amount of point reduction, if he did do something that should be punished, his win or whatever he would’ve ended as, would have been nullified.

No, that’s Switserland, who won, and I’m 100% okay with that, I loved them and I agree that they should’ve won.

The drama around The Netherlands is that our Artist, Joost, has said beforehand that he didn’t want to be filmed after his preformance because his song is very emotional and a tribute to his late parents. His request got ignored because it’s part of Eurovision policy that the artists get followed by 1 or 2 camera’s from the stage to the greenroom or dressingroom. But because Joost had said he didn’t want it, he told them multiple times to stop, and then made a movement that was concidered “threatning”. because they have a strict policy to make sure the staff feels comfortable while working, the camera woman made a complain and because of this incident, Joost got disqualified despite being one of the artists to have been believed to win. Disqualification mid through the contest has never happened before and a lot of people think the punishment was disproportional because 1. The incident was still under investigation then the disqualification was announced. and 2. He did not get physical.

So after that, in combination with a lot of tention between a reporter who kept harrassing artists AND the contrversity around Israel participating, the tention behind the scene got pretty bad.

There’s one part you should watch, which is at time stamp 3:19:27 of the live stream in which you can hear the public boo while Martin (who works for Eurovision) announces the 12 points instead of Nikki Tutorials. followed by Nimo’s reaction for getting them as they stay silent out of respect for Joost.
