The funniest dialogue or grammatical errors you've ever seen?

What are some of the most funny dialogue or grammatical errors you’ve seen in a story?:rose::two_hearts:

For me, it was in a screenshot I saw on the Episode forums (I didn’t read the story). The author wrote “noah fence” instead of “no offense” :joy::rose::two_hearts:

Also, please don’t name stories! :rose::two_hearts:

There’s a story where we were given the option to customize and name the MC, but in some scenes, the canon name that the author chose kept popping up. And I was like… nobody with that name exists in this story!

I mean… why give people the option to rename the character if you’ve already picked a name for them?

I remember I once read a story where the author confused the two LI’s names.:white_heart:

Something similar happened in a story I read.
There was this one LI that was more popular than the other one, but I picked the one that wasn’t as popular because I liked his personality and his looks a little bit more than the other guy.
In some scenes, after choosing between LIs, the ‘popular’ LI’s name would appear in a speech bubble when the ‘less popular’ LI was supposed to be talking, or when the MC was talking about the LI I chose, the other LI’s name appeared.

This happens a lot. In a book I was reading that was script format, the author confused a few of the characters names :joy:

There was this book “Flowers for Algernon” or something and the way the dude writes in the beginning makes so much freaking sense with how to pronounce stuff!

I agree! :sunglasses: You’d think that some of those words should actually be spelled like that.

I don’t really laugh at stuff like that, so nothing comes to mind.

I read a story where the character said Lost Angels instead of Los Angeles. The author had a hard time correcting her fans.

I saw on a Twitter post on Youtube where one person said “you’ll die of beaties” instead of “diabetes”. It was really funny :joy:

There was this one story I read called In The Wrong and the MC’s name is Kim Bennett (default). When I changed the MC’s name to my alter ego’s name, the whole story kept saying KB (The MC’s initials) instead of MB :joy: very weird!

They never should’ve let you be able to change the MC’s name if they were gonna keep the initials for her original name. :woman_shrugging:t4:

In the story I’m currently writing, I included a name option for the MC. But since in the original version she has a nickname and an imaginary cooking show with her initials, I’m making it a type-in choice.
