The hero thread: Discuss your heros!

In this thread I want you guys to talk about your heros. Fictional or real. Whether they have impacted you or somebody else feel free to tell me your story.

Also when it does come to fictional, what is your favourite kind of hero?

Anti-hero
Tragic hero
Superhero

Personally I’m a sucker for a tragic hero. Ken Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul being a prime example of this for me.

So yeah just talk about all things hero.

Let’s prove heros aren’t just in comics.

So I read this series last Throne of Glass last summer. Whenever someone says hero, the main character of the story always pops up into my mind.

The girl was an assassin who was actually a Queen and though she was selfish at the start, she learned to love others and care for others too.

And no matter how big the odds were, she’d always just tell herself I am Aelin Ashryver Galathynius. I will not be afraid. And then, despite her fear, she’d do what needs to be done and fight with all she had.

And it now strikes me just how much she impacted me too. Like, there were times when I told myself to be like Aelin and just do what I wanna do. This one time, I was scared about something. Like, really really scared and then I just calmed myself down saying I will not be afraid.

The point is, that girl’s my hero and shall always be. :purple_heart:

Yes, I know this was long but I can’t help it.

My real life hero is Bruce Lee  Everything about him and about his life just inspires me so much, especially as a martial artist myself

Fictional-wise? Definitely Spiderman. I can relate a hell of a lot to the character, and the inspiration I get from the early and original Amazing Spiderman comics is pretty never ending. I can always go back and read the first especially whenever I feel a bit down :3

So yeah, I guess superhero is my favourite.

Though I love to write tragic heroes personally

One of my heroes is Mr. Fred McFeely Rogers. I love him, he made the world a better place for everyone while he was alive.

As for the hero in my stories, two of which I like are Destiny Taylor from “In Cold Blood” and Cassandra Berkeley from an untitled story that I’m writing. Both are anti-heroes. I really love writing anti-heroes, though I’d like to try writing a tragic hero.

Iron man is my favourite Marvel hero. I don’t think I mentioned that before.

We all know that she almost killed Thanos.

Here’s some food for thought

Do heros actually exist or are they just regular people we put on a pedestal?

It depends on your definition of a hero.
