Its not annoying at all, I know how you RP and I’d be fine with making an extra Viscount as its not too high a title. If you wanted alternatives he could be considered a gentleman with his father a Doctor - which would boost him a bit in society but not give him any real titles. The alternative is I recall his father being religious? or was that just me… if so he could be a pastor which would make him a leader/mayor ish rank of sorts. Or his father could be a mayor?
It is entirely up to you, like I said, I’m happy to make the exception for you, its no problem

Since my female is a duchess she’d have to be married into/born into/widowed to obtain her position right?

So, she could be the daughter of a duke/duchess - she wouldn’t have the title just yet but she would gain it upon her parents death or abdication.
To have the title herself she would need to be either; Married to a duke, have already inherited the title from a parent or family member, or have been granted it for some reason (eg. owning a lot of land, being incredibly influential, etc.)
