Jorge Mario Bergoglio(Dec 17, 1936- April 21, 2025) who was also known as Pope Francis, has died at the age of eighty-eight. Berggoglio was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has been the first Pope to have been born in the Americas, and is the first Pope from the Society of Jesus. He has done groundbreaking work, mostly in the acceptance of LGBTQ+ people in the catholic faith. Bergoglio was the 266 Pope of the Catholic Church. He became the head of the Roman Catholic Church on March 13, 2013, and served until his death.
