It was different - sitting here, like this, with only one person who was supposed to learn who she really was and sitting in that other room, with so many girls surrounding Cecelia. It was just the first, technically, day and she didn’t try to make any friends so you can’t blame her for keeping her cold expression on around all of them, in an attempt to protect herself. Just Cecelia’s weird ways of surviving different situations. But saying being here alone with prince Beckett was different does not mean she was fully comfortable with it.
One of the fears she had was thinking that she wouldn’t be able to properly communicate with him. Socializing was never her strongest suit, not in the sense that she didn’t know how to do it or that she was shy, she was just the type of girl who’d rather keep to herself and focus on things that would benefit her own growth - experience only showing her that’s the only way she can feel good and happy. And it’s not like she ever had anyone to help her figure out how to act once she gets to this place. ”Just… Beckett? Am I not supposed to call you, I don’t know… Prince Bec-” She started, her brows furrowing a bit with confusion, only to stop herself from adding to that and making herself look more… Awful. ”I’m Cecelia… Just Cecelia,” She quickly added, putting on a smile that matched his. She’d have to learn how to be herself here if she doesn’t want to go back home. ”And the pleasure is all mine.” With that she withdrew into herself again.
