The tea on well…tea. 🍵

People have been drinking tea for thousands of years. There has been evidence in China of tea being drunk 6,000 years ago. The earliest written record of tea consumption is from 59 BCE during the Western Han Dynasty. Tea is the second most commonly drunk beverage besides water. Instead of me rambling more, I just want to know: What’s your favorite type of tea?

I love drinking tea

My favourites would have to be matcha, sencha (Japanese green tea), jasmine, earl grey, and chai

so mostly caffeinated teas

I’ll occasionally drink peppermint or chamomile tea but that’s really only if I’m sick

I like herbal teas. I have a good collection of looseleaf.

What’s the difference between sencha and matcha?

Matcha is powder
Sencha is tea leaves grown in Japan

Ah. No taste difference? Grass.

Matcha is definitely earthier than sencha

I find that the taste of sencha is between chinese green tea and matcha

I like tea
Anything a bit herbal
Rooibos is amazing, especially in the evenings. Also liquorice tea is great, it doesn’t taste at all like the candy we as Dutch people love, it’s made of the same roots tho. Besides that I love a good green tea, I have a jasmine green tea from Thailand rn, and it’s my current favourite. Also yeah I dig chai especially a spiced chai latte.
