Dragon Ball Z is a very popular anime, and the series involves a large number of films.

Have you seen Dragon Ball Z?

What are your thoughts on the Dragon Ball Z live-action films? Have you seen any?

Do you think that live-action film adaptations of anime can be good?

I, personally, have not actually seen Dragon Ball Z, although I keep intending to start it. However, I haven’t seen a live action anime film that I’ve liked… I just don’t really like anime films.

Yes and it’s bloody amazing :heart_eyes: I love all the characters, the food and the scenery. The plot is complex but if you listen and truly watch you’d definitely understand it.

I haven’t seen any but I don’t think they can be good. Dragon Ball Z is a complex show and putting all the elements into a live action show isn’t possible. Think about the fight scenes, the intensive level ups and shiz like that. How they gonna do that?

No. Let’s leave anime as the sacred thing it is.

This is part of why I prefer seeing fantasy in anime over live-action television. A floating city, magical effects, or anything else can just be sold better by an anime than by a live-action feature. A lot of magical special effects just look… weird to me.

Right? It always looks bad… Some minor spellcasting is fine, but when the whole world is all magic everything, it’s just weird

Oh hell yeah, Alita: Battle Angel is one of the best adaptations ever made and that was from anime/manga! Ghost in the Shell was also… Fine. Not amazing, but fine. It can work! You just need to adapt to the medium. Trying to 1:1 it will never work

Jk, but really yes I think that live-actions of anime might be awesome but people might not want that just yet :joy:
