The Andromedean Training Base
In a cold, barren region of Andromeda, a group of fortified cars made their way up a snowy mountainside. Within those cars were treasures more precious than any relic, more valuable than any jewel. Over the course of months, the Greek champions had been saught out, some coming peacefully- others taken forcefully. Andromeda was determined to win the war under any means necessary, being it had the most to lose. Part of that was recruiting and training the Champions.
Once the cars had reached the summit, they pulled up to what looked like an unassuming village, filled with log cabins and other, more modern buildings. Out of the first car stepped out a professionally-dressed man, peering around the camp as the Champions were escorted out of the rest of the cars. Once the gaggle of teens was gathered in a group, he started to speak.
“Hello, children,” he started with a stoic expression. “I am Alek Bykov, a general of the Andromedean military and the new leader of this training base. You have been collected here to train your powers and learn to be an asset to our nation. You do not have a choice in this matter- our gods ordain it. And,” the corner of his lip curled up a bit. “Do not attempt to leave. This will be the only warning you get.”
He started walking away. “Schedule and dorm assignments will be posted soon. I recommend you not be late.” And with that, the Greek champions were left to their own devices.
The Xilian Center of Champions
A group of jeeps drove over beaten dirt and sand paths, staying close to one another like a pack of lions. They roamed through what seemed like barren deserts and plains, until what seemed like a small tribal town peeked over the horizon. The jeeps stopped once they reached it, and they unloaded their passengers, ushering them towards a large building in the center of the town.
A blast of air conditioning hit the Champions as they entered, the inconspicuous building completely modernized on the inside. Inside laid several long tables, seemingly a dining hall of sorts, with a raised platform in the very back to function as a stage. On the stage stepped a woman with dark skin and short, safari-style clothing.
“Good morning, everyone,” she started with a smile. “My name is Adaeze Nkosi. I’m happy that your journies were safe.” She scanned the group of children. “You all understand that you are special. The other nations believe their champions to be weapons of destruction and chaos. But the people of Xilin know that you will be the ones to bring peace to our nations.”
She paused. “We will give you a portion of the day to get settled in and meet one another. At 1:00, your tasks will start.” Adaeze walked off the stage, and before exiting, said one last phrase, “Please, make yourself at home.”
The limousine pulled up to what could’ve been a perfectly average summer camp. Young adults bustled around in matching tshirts and various summer wear, laughing and playing around. Out of the crowd stepped a young twenty-something with red hair and a wide smile.
“Hey guys!” She said as the kids filed out of the limo. “Welcome to Camp Nyss! You guys are the Champions, right?” She looked around inquisitively as a few kids nodded their heads. “Awesome. Well, since it’s already afternoon, we decided to give you guys today off. Dorm assignments will be up soon, so check those when you’re ready. Otherwise, you can check out the lake, or talk to each other, or do whatever.”
She stopped to take a breath. “Oh, and I’m Brooke, by the way. I was assigned to be one of the supervisors here, so ask me any questions!” With that, she walked away to join some of the other supervisors.
You may now begin RPing!
