When Jacob suggested that Jenny was scared of ghosts, Reece’s eyebrows twisted in confusion. Reece knew Jacob was probably angry with Jenny’s strange antics, but that question was totally stupid. Then in the next sentence he said that we all know ghosts don’t exist. Doesn’t Jacob realize he just contradicted himself? That if we all believe ghosts don’t exist, Jenny’s strange look meant she was surprised somebody would suggest something that most people don’t believe exists, and not her being scared of anything? What is he trying to prove?
Reece thought Jacob must’ve slurred his words and made nonsence statements becuase he was shocked by the death of his sister, but then he said the smartest thing anybody from the room suggested. Reece stood up from the back of the room and joined him. "Yes, good idea Jacob! We have to ask for Dior’s help. But if that’s what we’re going to be doing, it’s best if you’re the one to talk to her, I think she won’t agree to a stranger she only knows as a potential murdere of her best friend or an ex, but if she’s got any brains at all she’ll know you’re not the one who would do this and she would trust you. "
An idea popped into his brain now that he was thinking more clearly. "You do that, Jacob, and … " Noticing they could be hear he whispered to them “And I’ll use my father’s ID to get into the morgue and have a copy of the report. How can we be asked to investigate if we aren’t allowed the same information as the police? We’ll I’ll take a step forward to getting that problem solved. Are we agreed on this?”
