Jennifer knew that Alissa was gay now, could Fern be pining over Alissa? But the again, the other girl didn’t need to be gay—could it be her??!? Fern had literally just comforted Jenny from tears! Im not gay! Was comforting someone from a breakdown normal? “And what else, screw these f-cking cliques, they are the reason I struggle with social anxiety ” Jenny watched Fern, as she looked to the floor. “I supposedly am a hipster, someone who should care about all these social norms and sh-t, but I don’t. I hate being pushed into who I have to be. … Why can’t we all just appreciate people for who they are, and stop thinking in these useless boxes?” You could see the gears turning in Jennifer’s head, if anyone was even paying attention to her anymore, she hyper focused on Fern to see if she would give it away. “I love my ‘clique’. It makes people stay away from me with just a rumor through one ear.” Jenny commented, not sure if it was true or not. There was lots of pros to her reputation, but also lots of cons. Jennifer stopped paying attention to all the others, only focusing on Fern now. Give me something to work off of. She willed, her brain sending silent messages to the girl she watched, unwaveringly.
