I love how literally right after the death her partner in ep 1 her friends take her out to a bar to dance/celebrate and she gets assigned this whole thing. And her bestfriend is all like, “No this is good for you!!!”
like wtf? Like a reasonable boss would have given her a week off at least to process! And everyone just pushes her into this and acts like she’s some moody teenager!

Wait, I can see where you would get grossed out by this but isn’t the love interest a college student? Most of the time college students are past the age of 18. You have no idea the age of the main character. She should be anywhere between 24-30 years old. Also, is it really that bad if there is an age gap? They are both over legal age. It would only be bad if she was his teacher or married in my opinion. I’m also coming at this from the point of someone who is near 30 years old. The only chances where you would be in college before 18 years of age is if the student are the special cases of finding a genius who has excelled through high school at a young age. I only would be creeped out if this way a high school story not a college story.

Yeah I get your point but the MC explicitly says that she doesn’t want to be “babysitting” a “kid”. Like- if someone older said this before meeting someone younger tbh that’s kinda creepy.

The word “kid” is thrown around so much that it doesn’t apply to the age. She is just calling him a kid because he is younger than her. I sometimes call anyone under 21 a kid because of the age gap. I can see where it would make you squemish though. It just depends on what your point of view is from the story. I was like that when I was you younger so I know how you are feeling about it but now with some age I stopped caring about that.

Yeah I can understand that. Like if this story was written by an actual author I might be like, “Hmm this story’s cool” but Episode just doesn’t portray things very well. I have only read the first episode and am just a highschooler so I don’t know about college but a lot of people have said that Episode doesn’t actually write college like college… more like highschool. And they’ve kinda endorsed stuff like gang stories involving highschool students so when this sort of thing comes out I get iffy.
I do definitely see your stance tho and I’m definitely biased cuz I’m young and I haven’t even been involved in romance or anything like that so I probably shouldn’t be talking lmao. But idk I’d never want to be naive and fall into a fishy relationship so I guess that’s why I’m so much in this stance.
If they’re both adults- and it’s not an Episode story- I see nothing wrong with them being in a relationship.

Of course! I totally get what you mean. Episode is definitely bad at making stories that push the bar in too many cases. I don’t trust Episode on that count either.

Like if this wasn’t Episode I wouldn’t have considered the “bad” side of things ig but since it’s Episode as soon as I noticed I was just like, “This is so messed up” cuz tbh to me it is.
Like, idk. When I was younger and first on Episode I read the “Student teacher romance” stories and didn’t find things wrong about them! Which looking back- those are like ten times worse than this! So now I’m just kinda paranoid about things when it comes to Episode so I don’t do that again.

Yeah, I’m like that with certain stories on Episode too. That’s why I rarely read on there as much now. I’m actually thinking of making my stories from episode as Wattpad stories instead. I mean I’ll still write on episode though.

I read part of the first episode, and it kinda states she’s only 22. Just barely out of college. So it’s not really that bad. I’m not defending episode, I just wanted to point that out.

I also want to say that I’m not trying to poke fun at the original author who made this (cuz this is based on another popular episode story). I just hate the way that Episode like makes crappy stories and just reuses stories and makes them crap and then adds diamonds like that makes any difference. I haven’t read the first story and I’ve only read one ep of this one. But idk. I just know generally how it’s gonna go and I just hate that. Writing shouldn’t be like that- stories shouldn’t. They shouldn’t be cardboard cutouts of eachother because the people making them want to make money!
I mean, I have nothing against age-gap relationships (I do ship Nick Jonas and Priyanka together 
) but… this kid’s only 18, Episode.

Yes, it’s messed up. 18-22 thingy is fine (to some extent) but the MC has been tasked to keep him safe. Instead, she “gets along with him” which is creepy and downright against her job rules.
In real life, she would get fired or permanently discharged from the FBI for such offensive code of conduct. But Idk, it’s episode after all
