While so many brands are becoming cruelty-free, there’s still a large number of quite popular brands who still use unethical production methods in the manufacturing of their product.
Here’s a list of the ones I could find:
- Clinique
- Avon
- NARS
- Maybelline
- Victoria’s Secret
- L’Oreal
- OPI
- MAC
- Dior
- Lancome
- Chanel
- Estee Lauder
- Benefit
- Rimmel
- Elizabeth Arden
- Smashbox
- Origins
- No 7
- Bourjois
- Pantene
If you know of any others, let me know. Do you use any of these brands? If so, did you know they were unethical?

I had a bit of a check in my brain, I don’t really wear make up but I do use moisturiser and I actually checked beforehand to make sure they were ethical, I used to use rimmel and I didn’t know they were unethical, the reason I stopped was actually because the black nail varnish was always so sticky.

My issue is, even with the Cruelty-Free brands, how many of them still do the exact same testing and stuff just in different countries so that it wouldn’t be classed as false advertising
