I agree with this. And I will use my own country (Philippines) as an example for this. Poverty is a prevalent issue here in our country. Around 20% of our country’s population lies under the poverty line. And from what I see, a lot of poor people here in our country also have a lot of kids, ranging from 4-8 children.
I think one of the reasons behind this is the lack of education regarding sex and family planning here in our country, especially for the poor people. Our country is highly conservative, and the subject of sex is still considered as taboo. People here still receive weird stares from other people just for buying condoms or any birth control-related products. Unlike in a lot of Western countries, talking about sex is not yet as normalized here in our country, and I think that should change now.
Just because someone has a job where they work behind a computer ( like creating webpages ) doesn’t mean that they are lazy. I just hate it that after a long day of working on webpages my mother is like: how can you be tired when you sit behind a computer all day
Staring at my laptop screen for too long makes me tired, makes my back hurt and sitting down in front of a laptop for too long makes me uncomfortable. So kudos to those computer programmers, I’d probably resign if I had your job. :)
