Some interesting vampire folklore
Vampires can be scary… I prefer them as villains.
What do you think about vampires and werewolves?
It depends on how the character is portrayed. I like both vampires and werewolves. You can make them both good, evil, and neutral depending on how you write your story. Though I guess I prefer the Vampire to be the villain as well and the werewolf as the heroine/hero.
That’s because the Wendigo is a technically a cannibalistic human turned into a ferocious werewolf like creature in folklore. Some people do not feel comfortable writing about that type of creature. The human was already feasting on humans before it was twisted into the Wendigo creature.
What are your thoughts on this subject? Anyone can answer.
I mean
In terms of a horror story it would be good to step outside of what makes you comfortable
Scare yourself
That’s what I don’t wanna do
That is very true. I think that type of horror story would be a unique story to read compared to the others out there.
Often there’s a very sympathetic story behind the cannabalism though!
That it’s a small crew that got stranded after a shipwreck without food, or it’s a group that got stuck in a storm in the mountains, something like that.
When help doesn’t arrive, and food runs low, they turn to their only option. I absolutely adore that stuff.
Then on top of all this you can definitely use other creatures here like Striga, they have a similar thing to werewolves that they aren’t evil by choice, or even by nature. And with vampires, there are just so many myths you can draw from these days that it does strike me as laziness when people do the same things with them over and over
Like Abraham Lincoln: Vampire hunter.
That was a good movie
I agree with that! I do find other myths and folklore interesting because there is just so much to pull from. That would be a good way to make the story more sympathetic with that plotline idea as well.
