Weekly Theme Discussion: Do cooking reality shows actually promote cooking or drama?

Drama, duh. Although there are some shows who genuinely promote cooking, most of them promote drama. Drama = high ratings = more money. Seriously, some of the shows would invite people who would set the kitchen on fire when frying an egg, just for drama. Plus, they might rig the competition for them. Like how Chris McLean rigged the show for Heather in TDI. I know it’s a cartoon, but it happens irl

#Life hack: next time, if you’re filming your audition, make yourself as annoying and manipulative as you can.

And I wanted to comment on this. I don’t really watch cooking shows but I wouldn’t necessarily say they promote drama, even if they do show that. I guess it depends on the show.
