Welcome to the Forums!

Leaving on a train ride towards the unknown is pretty accurate description of me jumping into a new social space :joy: I’m pretty much a hermit IRL.

OH MY GOD SAME
Quarantine was great for me 'cause no more forced social situations :ok_hand:t5::relieved: and it’s not like I left the house before that anyway lmao

I wish I could say the same, but uni insists on making us do online group activities through voice/video chat. *shudder*

Oh God that seems awful >.>
Group activities and voice/video chat? Nightmarish

With my school, I only had a voice call once a week and I didn’t have to talk or anything to anyone unless I had a question

Now that’s the online learning experience I want :joy:

Whats Up Hello GIF

And do you… like rping? :eyes:

Sorry, I don’t know what the abbreviation rping means. I hate to say it, but I’m older in the plus 40 crowd. Believe it or not, I’m in IT. It is just that I have spent the last 20 years fixing computers which makes spending after work time learning this stuff less than desirable.

Oooo, an IT cool job! :sunglasses:

Oh, no problem, it stands for roleplaying! It’s hard to explain, but basically you create characters for a specific plot that the owner of the roleplay makes. You like… make storylines essentially as this character. It is really fun and it helps to develop your writing!

But anyway the forums are very lucky to have you! And you aren’t the only plus 40 adult here so no worries

Not as cool as you think. Mice and fibre optic fibre don’t go well together. Steel wool ultimately solved it but it still sucked.

At least my job tends to be push a button, get a banana type. I have the problem where I’m a problem solver type. I hate the administrative type of garbage which IT has become.

Thank you. Although, sith lords with a soft heart …isn’t that a 2018+ Star Wars thing? I pretend they don’t exist

I like my Sith Lords cruel, vindictive, and uncompromising. It is an age thing.

Ah, that sucks :persevere: A lot of my family members also work with computers, while it may not be the same, I’m curious and I’ll ask them what they think :eyes:

Also, how did you stumble across this place?

I saw the Wattpad forums close. I wanted to see other peoples responses out of curiosity. I found the forums that way. I just don’t know how Wattpad can close the Forums and think it is a good thing. I hate to say it it but it was the best thing about the site. As far as stories go, there was such a glut that unless you had the luck to win the lottery, you’re never going to be discovered.

Lol mine comes from playing Star Wars: The Old Republic game where you can choose to be a lightside sith or darkside sith. There is even a neutral option too.

I actually enjoyed that game. I bought it on steam although it crashed horrendously on Win 7. The problem is I’m the type that is inpatient. I grabbed a trainer and got the best equipment so I could kill everything in one swing of a light sabre…

Lets put it this way - I’m more focused on story than grinding!

Lol I can get what you mean! I actually like the game for the story building that it has plus the new content that has come out now.
