Brooks just ignored the girl and he kept punching Scottie. “Fuck off, you know this isn’t who I typically am Scottie! But sure whatever helps you sleep at night, then sure I am showing my true colors. Does that make you happy pretty boy.”
Baxter watched him smirk as he batted his eyelashes at him. He smirked back. “Well someone sounds pretty confident there.” The guy said as he pulled Baxter closer. Baxter smirked bigger then the guy said “I don’t think I got your name before this so I guess I am probably missing some first date type etiquette that I would normally do but you did ask for this so.” He watched the guy shrug as he pulled baxter even closer. Then he whispered in his ear “Lay down and I’ll be in front of you one leg over my shoulder and let me know if its too much cutie.” The guy then smirked at him again. Baxter did as he said and laid down on the ground. “Do with me as you please sexy.” Baxter said with a wink and a smirk on his face. He was ready for this. To have this guy so close and personal with him felt more intimate then he thought it would be. He could feel the $3xu@l tension between himself and the guy. “I hope at least get your name after this s^xy.” He said as he waited for the guy to get in the poistion with him and bend him however he needed to.
He watched the headmaster looking at him like he knew something was up. “What is it that you want Mr. Correia?” Jax smiled bashfully at him. “Well… Headmster Griffin… I was wondering two things… First, Can I have your number. Secondly, would you like to come to dinner with me sometime?”
Atlas arched a brow watching Baxter with amused disbelief as he actually followed through and laid down. The smirk didnt leave his face but there was a flicker of something else behind it half curious half impressed.
“You really don’t have an off switch do you?” he murmured crouching down beside him. “And youre lucky Im not as mean as I look. Couldve made this way more embarrassing.”
He slid into position with practiced ease one knee bent his other leg planted for balance as he lifted Baxter’s leg over his shoulder. It was suggestive sure but Atlas’s body language stayed cool and casual as if he was daring anyone watching to say something.
Then just close enough for only Baxter to hear he whispered
“Names Atlas. I still didnt get yours there though gymnast? Youll remember my name though I dont exactly blend in.” His tone had dropped just a bit low enough to toe the line between flirtation and warning.
He held the position for a second long enough to make it count. Then he leaned back slightly with a sharp smirk offering his hand to help Baxter back up. “Your move gymnast.”
Hazel kept watching and she could not hear Jax but could see he was talking. She studied his lips and saw he just asked for his number if he wanted to go to dinner sometime. She was laughing her ass off. “How much do you guys wanna bet that Jax is about to get a detention?”
“You really don’t have an off switch do you?” He said as he crouched down beside Baxter. “I do not. I never turn down a dare or being part of one.” Then the guy said “And youre lucky Im not as mean as I look. Couldve made this way more embarrassing.”
Baxter smirked “I’m sure you could have cupcake” Then the guy slid into the position with ease which amused Baxter. Once the guy was in position, Baxter moved his hand to hold the guys butt.
The. The guy leaned in and whispered to Baxter “Names Atlas. I still didnt get yours there though gymnast? Youll remember my name though I dont exactly blend in.” Baxter smiled and whispered back “Baxter is my name cupcake” He gave Atlas a playfully flirtatious smirk. His breath brushed against Atlas’ ear as he spoke.
They held the position for a moment. When Atlas started to move Baxter moved his hand off of his rear. Baxter had half a mind to pull Atlas back down to him when he reached down to help Baxter up. Baxter took his hand and smiled as he stood up. “Your move gymnast.”
Baxter chuckled as he stood and leaned into Atlas. He then whispered again “How about you give me your number? Or we could get out of here and go have some fun.” He pulled back and winked at the guy. He wanted to leave him wanting more. They were now standing next to each other.
Atlas
Atlas didnt flinch when Baxter’s hand landed on him if anything his expression barely shifted. Just a slight quirk at the corner of his mouth like he was cataloging the move more than reacting to it. But the moment Baxter leaned in close again whispering about numbers and having some fun thats when Atlas’ eyes sharpened with a glint of something cooler.
Not cold. Just… calculating.
He let the silence sit for a second longer than necessary long enough to make Baxter wonder if he had misjudged the vibe. Then Atlas leaned in too close enough that their foreheads nearly brushed. His voice was quiet even and undeniably confident.
“Tempting offer Baxter…” He let the name hang there his tone smooth. “But I dont hand out my number like extra credit.”
Atlas let the smirk tug at his lips again then tilted his head just slightly. “And if Im gonna let someone get me out of here it wont be because they asked real nice. Itll be because they made me curious.”
He stepped back just a half step but enough to reclaim his space and gave a short low chuckle. “You wanna keep up gymnast? Try showing me something I havent seen before.”
Then with one last look he turned toward the drink table like the conversation hadnt just caught fire. Just enough of a retreat to make it clear Atlas plays his cards close. If Baxter wants more he’ll have to earn it.

TJ didn’t waste any time. He couldn’t wait to beat Ash’s ass. As soon as he felt Ash punch him he pulled up his pants and then rushed at him, punching him in the jaw.
"You punk ass bitch!" He continued swinging at him. “You think you tough little boy? HUH?” He was foaming at the mouth with every punch.

Fleur rolled her eyes and scoffed. “Well at least I look sexy as a bunny what the fuck are you wearing. You know what I’m done.. You and your clown boyfriend…” Her voice trailed off when she saw Brooks and Scottie now punching each other. “OH MY GOSH!” She ran over to them and tried tearing Brooks off of Scottie. “What are you guys doing!!?! Stop being idiots!” She held onto Brooks a bit too closely by wrapping both of her arms around his shoulders. “SOMEBODY HELP!! I can’t do this on my own?” She noticed another fight happening across the room.

Baxter watched Atlas’ face for a reaction. The guy was hard to read for sure. It was silent for a moment longer then Baxter wanted. He smiled as Atlas leaned in so close that their foreheads almost brushed against each other. However, that didn’t stop Baxter from wondering what was going on. “Tempting offer Baxter… But I don’t hand out my number like extra credit.” Baxter nodded his head like to okay Baxter watched the guy smirk again “And if Im gonna let someone get me out of here it wont be because they asked real nice. Itll be because they made me curious.” Baxter took this in and thought it over. Then Atlas moved away from Baxter as he chuckled lowly while saying “You wanna keep up gymnast? Try showing me something I havent seen before.” Baxter then watched him turn his back. Baxter was shocked and confused. However, it didn’t waver him.
He walked up behind Atlas. Baxter then wrapped his arms around Atlas as he rested his head on his shoulder. Then Baxter whispered in a low husky voice “Why don’t we go to get to know each other… I can then show you plenty of things you haven’t seen before.” He honestly didn’t want $3x…
He was curious about this guy. If $3x happened then so be it, but that wasn’t what kind of fun Baxter had in mind. “What’s your favorite thing to do? Why don’t we go so you can show me?” His lips brushed against Atlas’s ear as he slowly pulled away and stepped back. He was leaving the ball in Atlas’s court. He wanted to get to know him and see where their tension led them, but he also just wanted to be alone with the guy to talk with him properly.
Atlas froze not visibly not dramatically but in that quiet way people only notice if theyre really paying attention. The sudden warmth of Baxter’s arms around him the weight of a head on his shoulder the husky whisper that caught him off guard. He didnt pull away not immediately. But his hands curled slightly like he wasnt sure whether to push the moment away or hold onto it.
He wasnt used to softness.
Then came the words not just flirtation not a dare or a line but a question that actually landed.
“What’s your favorite thing to do?”
Atlas blinked once slowly like the question took a second to compute. When Baxter stepped back Atlas turned and his expression was unreadable at first. Then slowly his eyes softened not entirely but enough to let a sliver of something real peek through the cracks.
“…Drawing,” he said almost reluctantly. “Charcoal sketches. Late at night. Quiet places.” He paused then tilted his head at Baxter his voice lower more thoughtful now. “Didn’t think you were the type to trade party games for quiet corners.”
He studied him not with suspicion but with a new kind of curiosity like Baxter had just flipped a card Atlas didnt expect.
Finally Atlas gave a small almost imperceptible nod toward the exit. “Theres an art studio down the hall. No one uses it this late and it’s usually unlocked.”
He didnt smile not exactly but something shifted in his expression. An invitation without a promise. A door slightly open.
“Come with" he said simply. “Unless you’re scared of quiet.”
Ash knew a fight was coming, but him talking about Jennifer that way was not okay. Little did he know when he went to Jennifer he would be fighting more at her school. Tj punched him in the jaw. He let him get that one in for free. Tj was talking smack as he kept swinging at Ash. Ash dodged a few as he swung on TJ too. They were going back and forth throwing punches. missing each other here and there, but also making contact. “You can call me all the names you want. However, one thing you won’t do is talk about my girl. At least I can get a girl unlike your loser @$$. Hell… You can’t even keep a guy.” He chuckled and swung again catching TJ in the eye this time. Then swung a second time making contact with his jaw again.

Zia watched her roll her eyes as she said “Well at least I look sexy as a bunny what the fuck are you wearing. You know what I’m done.. You and your clown boyfriend…” She heard the girl say “OH MY GOSH!” She then saw the girl run off and she looked and saw her wrapping her arms around Brooks. She heard her ask for help. Zia marched over and looked at the her. “Get the f^ck off my man.” She said to Fleur. Then she looked at Brooks. “BROOKS, that is ENOUGH!” She really hoped this would snap him out of his anger, or at least stop him form hitting the guy. She first yanked Fleur off of Brooks. Then she calmly grabbed his arm that he was swinging. “Baby, that’s enough.. Please let’s go.” She said as she had stopped him from punching the guy anymore.
Once Baxter has stepped back Atlas turned to face him. Atlas’s face was hard to read at first. However, Baxter did notice the change in his demeanor as he said “…Drawing, Charcoal sketches. Late at night. Quiet places.” Baxter nodded his head as in he understood. Then Atlas said “Didn’t think you were the type to trade party games for quiet corners.” Baxter let out a chuckle “I’m full of surprise cupcake.” He said with a smile.
Then he noticed that Atlas seemed to be studying him. He watched Atlas nod towards the exit as he said “Theres an art studio down the hall. No one uses it this late and it’s usually unlocked.” Baxter smiled taking in everything he was saying. Letting it all process. “Come with; Unless you’re scared of quiet.” Baxter smiled at him as he walked closer to Atlas.
He reached his hand to Atlas’s, but stopped himself. He leaned into him. “Let’s go then…” He said as he started for the door. He had wanted to grab Atlas’s hand, but didn’t want Atlas to think he was just trying to sleep with him. He looked back to make sure Atlas was indeed coming with him.
Atlas
Atlas saw the way Baxter reached out and then stopped himself.
He noticed everything. The hesitation. The restraint. The fact that Baxter didnt push didnt grab didnt turn the moment into something it wasnt. That alone made Atlas pause not physically but in his mind. Most people didnt do that. Most people wanted something.
But Baxter? He just said “Lets go then,” and walked toward the door like it was no big deal.
Atlas let the corner of his mouth twitch just barely. Not a smile. Not yet. But something close.
He followed.
The distance between them closed in a few steps his boots quiet on the gym floor as the music and lights faded behind them. When they stepped into the hallway the noise dulled leaving only the echo of their footsteps and the quiet hum of the old building settling around them.
Once they were a few paces down Atlas glanced sideways at him. Not suspicious just… curious. Testing the waters.
“You always chase down strangers at school dances,” he asked quietly “or am I just the lucky one tonight?”
There was no edge to it. Just dry amusement and maybe beneath that, the hint of someone who didnt quite know what to do with being seen without a fight.
They had exited the gym and they were making their way to the art studio Atlas mentioned. Atlas looked over at Baxter as he spoke “You always chase down strangers at school dances, or am I just the lucky one tonight?” Baxter took his words in carefully choosing how to respond. He was silent longer than he meant to be. He looked over at Atlas. “Honestly… This is a first for me cupcake. I don’t usually chase people…”
He stopped himself from saying the other half of that part which was that people normally chase him. “If you ask me… I’m the lucky one.” He winked at him as they reached the art studio. He held the door opened for Atlas. “Oh… By the way… Silence doesn’t scare me at all…” Nothing really scared Baxter… Except not knowing what this hold Atlas had on him was.
Freya
She was looking out into the crowd. It seemed that all of her hard work into this party was for not. There were two groups fighting and the atmosphere just seemed to have shifted. And what was worst about all of it was that the headmaster and the teachers weren’t doing anything about it.
“What’s my definition of interesting?” She hummed quietly as she listened. Curious to what he would say. “Well… Someone who doesn’t ask easy questions, for starters..”
She kept watching the crowd of people, waiting to hear what he would say. But after a moment of nothing, She turned her head to look at him. Realizing he had moved closer to her. Slowly her eyes trailed from his chest and up until they were locked on his eyes.
“Someone who knows how to watch a room but doesn’t get lost in it. Who drinks from a flask but doesn’t need it to be the most daring thing they do all night.” She felt a chill run down spine. “So, you tell me. You interesting, or just pretending to be?” Feeling drawn in by his lopsided smile that held a bit of mischief yet a challenge to her.
Pulling her attention away, she stayed quiet for a moment to weigh in her options. She leaned in slightly to him as she hummed a little tune. Glancing at him with the same challenge he gave her while smiling playfully. She said slightly above a whisper. “I’m not sure, why don’t you find out and tell me about it when you figure it out.”
Ro
He thought for a moment on how to best handle this situation. He reached in his pocket and handed Jax a business card. “Mr.Correia, I need you to give that number a call. Now then go enjoy the rest of the party kid.” He looked back to the teacher and the began talking once more. He wondered if Mr. Correia would give that number a call… It would of taken him to a therapist. He had to hold the laugh back.
Jax
Scottie
He heard Kuri begging them to stop and he so wished he could. "F-ck off, you know this isn’t who I typically am Scottie! But sure whatever helps you sleep at night, then sure I am showing my true colors. Does that make you happy pretty boy.” He waited until Brooks punches had slowed down a little and was keeping track of the time in between the punches. He knew if he was going to get out, the time was coming. He just had to bid his time and wait.
“It sure helps when I slept with your mother the other night.” He smirked, knowing this would p-ss the prick off even more. But before Brooks could even throw in another punch, some random -ss girl showed up and wrapped her arms around Brooks’ shoulders to stop him from throwing any more punches. “SOMEBODY HELP!!! I can’t do this on my own?”
Shortly after the girl had spoken, the shortstack marched over and looked at the lady. He felt lost in what was happening. Were they trying to help stop the fight or were they about to start one between themselves? He was watching in disbelief at the scene. Eventually Brooks got off of Scottie but not after getting one good punch in for his earlier comment.
Scottie just laid there for a moment, trying to process what had just happened and what was going on around him. Kuri came over and nudge him before helping him up.
Brooks & Zia & Fleur & Kuri
Jax took the card then half way back he dropped it to the ground. He got back over there and laughed. The headmaster was a funny guy. “Done.” He said as he reached the group.
Kuri was standing there making sure it didn’t get too bad. She wanted to get in the middle but at the same time she didn’t. The guy said "F-ck off, you know this isn’t who I typically am Scottie! But sure whatever helps you sleep at night, then sure I am showing my true colors. Does that make you happy pretty boy.” Kuri wondered how Scottie would have known that about the guy, but figured maybe later he would tell her. Then Scottie said “It sure helps when I slept with your mother the other night.” Kuri could tell by the look on his face that he said this just to piss the guy off. Before the guy could throw any more punches some girl ran over. “SOMEBODY HELP!!! I can’t do this on my own?”
Shortly after she spoke another girl came up yelling at her and the guy. Then the girl pulled the girl off the guy. Kuri just stood there shocked. Eventually the guy got off of Scottie but not before landing another punch in first. Scottie had laid there for a moment. Kuri was a little worried about him so she went over and nudged him. “You alive?” She asked before helping him up. She didn’t let go of his hand once he was to his feet. He was bleeding, but Kuri would fix that in a little bit for him. She looked into his eyes. “Let’s get out of here… I’ll help you clean up,” She said still holding his hand but didn’t realize it.
Scottie, Brooks, Zia, Fleur
She watched as her sister marched over to the group for a split second. Shaking her head disappointedly. Feeling like there was nothing else she could do, she turned to look at Hyun - Jae and smiled a little. “Did you still want to dance?” It felt like the game was roughly ruined, at least for herself. The group had grown but also shrunk, in size. People coming and going.
Hyun - Jae
While waiting for their turn, she had noticed a guy joining the group before storming of and picking a fight with another dude. This really did ruin her mood to play with this group. Taking Marco’s hand in hers, she decided it was best to not socialize with this group anymore. “I think I want to go sit down Mar…” She looked over at him.
Marco
It was a long day and an even longer night. He had been running none stop. Being on the go to the point that he hadn’t even realized the time. He was late to the school dance. He quickly finished his job and left. Making his way to the school grounds. He figured since he was late, that it was probably pointless to get dressed into a costume.
He walked into the gym and istently noticed a few fights. “Ugh” He thought to himself as he hurried over to one of them that didn’t have a group around them. He made his way over to them, and as he got closer, he noticed who it was- Ash and TJ. He didn’t really care for ether. He inserted himself into that little group, pushing the two away from each other and getting some distance be between them. “Yo mans. Let’s take a chill pill! It’s a party dudes.” Part of him expected to get a beat down from both of these dorks. Afterall who didn’t like beating up a freshman.
Ash & TJ
Atlas stepped past Baxter into the studio the door creaking softly as it swung shut behind them. The air inside was cooler tinged with the scent of old wood charcoal and faint traces of turpentine. The overhead lights were dimmed only a few soft bulbs buzzing to life in the far corners. It was quiet exactly like Atlas had said. Just them and the echo of their own breathing.
He didnt respond right away.
Instead he walked toward a table in the back fingers brushing lightly over a stack of thick black sketchbooks. One of them was his. The rest? Abandoned projects from other students left behind and forgotten. Kind of like a lot of things in this place.
Then finally he spoke his voice low and calm but laced with something unspoken.
“Good” he said simply “because silence’s the only thing that doesnt lie.”
He turned slightly eyes flicking toward Baxter again. “People say a lot of things just to fill space. But when its quiet?” He tapped his temple. “That’s when the real stuff sneaks out.”
Atlas pulled his own sketchbook from the pile and laid it flat on the table flipping it open to a page in the middle. Charcoal smudges lined his fingers. The drawing was raw—more feeling than form. A silhouette of three boys faceless and backlit their shadows stretching out behind them like memory.
He didnt explain it. Just stepped aside giving Baxter space to look if he wanted. His voice was softer now with a trace of challenge buried inside it.
“Still not scared?”
Ro let out a slow crooked grin the kind that curled at the edges like smoke and spelled nothing but trouble. Her answer had been good too good. It hooked him. Not because it was bold but because it was clever. He liked clever. Clever was rare.
“Oh, that’s how it is?” he murmured voice dropping just enough to brush against the space between them. “Thats a line you throw when you want someone to chase.” His eyes gleamed and he didnt bother to hide the spark of interest that flared there. “Dangerous game sweetheart. I tend to catch what I chase.”
He didnt lean away. If anything he let the space between them shrink just a breath more that lopsided smile of his flashing with something unspoken and unfiltered.
Ro tilted his head glancing out at the chaos in the room the fights the teachers pretending not to see the haze of music and hormones and bad decisions waiting to be made. Then back to her gaze slow and deliberate like he was already imagining the two of them somewhere far from here.
“This party’s dead,” he said easily. “But there’s a rooftop a few floors up locked to most not to me. Quiet. Good view. Plenty of shadows.” He paused licking his bottom lip absentmindedly. “We could talk. Or not talk. Depends how interesting you feel like being.”
Then he smirked again wicked and unbothered. “Unless you’re the type who likes to watch the world fall apart and call it a night well spent.”
He left it hanging there an open door no strings just the thrill of something reckless dressed up as casual conversation. The kind of invitation that said this means nothing unless you want it to.
as they were fighting someone came and tried to tear him off and when she couldn’t she asked for help, it sounded like that new girl that ended up coming in o the game not long ago. When it didn’t work he kept punching Scottie and then his girlfriend came over and yelled saying that was enough then grabbed his arm that was in a swinging motion and she stopped him from fighting him. He was about to walk away with his girl, but then Scottie said that he slept with his mother the other night which he knew wasn’t true but it pissed him off. He did a spin move to get away from Zia and marched right up to him and punched him hard square in the nose. [color=#f4a460] “Fuck you Scottie.” He said then spit on hm and turned his back and started to walk away with Zia.
Hazel saw the headmaster take a card out and hand it to him, in which jax took then dropped it when he was far enough away. He then said done. “That was fricken hilarious to watch man. But i’m assuming you never got his number or date? So we both kinda struck out on our Dares huh?”
