What Are Your Pet Peeves?

Here are some of mine!

  • Slow walkers, especially when I’m in a rush.
  • When the grammar and punctuation in a story is incorrect. I mean, I don’t mind if there’s only one or two errors, but if every single line has an error, I’m not gonna read it.
  • “Why are you so shy?” “Why are you so quiet?”
  • When a teacher uses the random student picker and the student picked has to answer a question…

I interrupt people ALOT. I just say, “Oh sorry, you go first!”

And then its back and forth saying, “No, you go first!”

Then we both forget–

That would get me upset :joy:

I have a friend who keeps pushing me and grabbing me in a slight rough manner, I really hate it and I would usually say, “Hey, ow!” Because sometimes it hurts my thick noodle arms and I’m like thinking, “You ain’t even gonna apologize? At least apologize, c’mon…” But then I smile away the pain.

Easy?

IT SOUNDS PRETTY HARD TO ME IDK WHAT THEY’RE TALKING ABOUT lasdlfkdklsjfkdjf

Okay, that’s just incredibly rude. Like seriously, no. No.

My mom asks me this when I’m just silent because I’m usually loud.

“OH I’M SORRY I THOUGHT YOU WANTED ME TO BE QUIET.”

Like tell me what you want, woman!

Man I have too many but here we go:

  • When someone enters my room without knocking. Haven’t they heard of knocking? I guess not.

  • People eating with their mouth open. Gross!

  • When someone cuts me off when I’m talking. Bitch, let me finish talking!

  • When someone badgers me to talk about something I don’t want to talk about. Especially when the topic upsets me.

  • Being dismissed by people with shit like “Oh that sucks” or “k” when you’re trying to vent to someone. Shows that I won’t trust them next time.

  • Being compared to someone that is worse than me

  • When old women (especially Bengalies) lecture me on shit I don’t want to know about i.e. marriages, kids, jobs, clothing, hair, etc.

  • When someone falsely accuses me of something I didn’t do

  • When I’m being sexually harassed

  • When people get you involve with their relationship problems when it’s not yours to begin with. I had this ex-friend who used to do this to me just because she constantly argues with her boyfriend like 24/7.

  • When people label all white people as “racist”

  • People who think if you disagree on one thing with them you’re ‘racist’ or ‘homophobic’ or something.

  • When the food is so oily that you’ll need kitchen towel to take off the excess oil i.e. samosas, pakoras, churros

  • When someone says that you look like a certain person you can’t stand because you know it’s an insult

  • When someone talks to me when I got music on

  • When someone tells me to “get over it” when I’m going through a really bad depression

  • When I paint my nails but goes messy when you need to scratch your head

  • When my eyeliner goes uneven

  • When someone lectures me on how I should schedule my work out at the gym

  • When Pick Me girls start throwing other girls under the bus for liking certain things that are girly

  • When someone asks me about my personal life. Just go away, please!

  • When no one washes their hands after covering their mouth from sneezing or coughing or touching anything gross

  • When someone pulls this “My problems are worse than yours” shit

People chewing with their mouth open

Anything that’s squeaky like a door or something

Snoring

Other Christians thinking lower then me because I’m not rude to anyone who’s homosexual

Not knocking on my door

Going into MY room to close the door

Getting flagged for the most stupid reason

That’s like the main ones I can think of at a time like this :joy:

  • When people think it’s cute to baby-trap someone. This should be illegal!
  • The sexualisation of children by making them wear skimpy clothing and twerk yet shun a 23 year old woman for wearing a tank top with shorts
  • Idiots that love to sexualise trauma. Get in the bin!
  • Calling someone a misogynist by getting butthurt over an opinion yet throw a misogynistic threat at me like, “I hope you get your clit taken out”. Pot calling the kettle black!
  • People conflating autism with political statuses. Feminism is not equivalent to autism, stupid!

When you haven’t seen somebody in a long time and the first thing they say to you is about how long your hair is getting. Like, c’mon! You haven’t seen me for months and that’s the first thing you say to me?

Awwww quite a few of these, but some off the top of my head.

Rudeness
It’s in many forms, from ignoring someone who bothers with you, to being snappy or generally rude to someone for no reason.

Disrespect
*Especially when people act appallingly to people who are in the service industry. Just because someone is in a job where they are doing something for you, does not mean they are less than you, I can’t tell you how many times I had people clicking their fingers at me whilst I was a waitress, damn I wanted to break their bloody fingers.
And when people are just rude or snappy to shop assistants, delivery drivers, waiters, bar staff etc, it gets on my last god damn nerve.

People who walk past and don’t help others.
I can’t believe some people see others struggling or needing help and just stroll on by. I can’t do it. Maybe because I am used to helping when someone needs it or perhaps it’s just the way I was brought up, but I hate to think of someone struggling and being left to it. I even left my shift once to go outside and help an old man put his backpack up onto his shoulders again :woman_shrugging:

When someone has a conversation right in front of me, with someone that they know, and they don’t bother to introduce us.
IT’S AWKWARD!!! It takes 2 seconds to say something like, “I’d like you to meet …” So please just do it and don’t leave someone standing there like a spare part at a wedding.

Chewing with your mouth open.
Does this really even need to be brought up? You learn to eat as a kid, you shut your mouth when you aren’t talking, so combine the two… easy!

Over the top hand/head gestures.
If ever you’ve seen on tv, or in reality, there’s those people who think they are so cool and so tough that they have a blazing row with another idiot and both are getting all in each other’s faces, they start swinging their arms around like a music conductor caught in a windmill and bouncing their head all over the place and side to side at them. Oh dear, I just wanna hit them with a truck.

People saying you shouldn’t help the people on the streets.
You’re being an asshole, I’m helping, end of story :woman_shrugging:

Lack of loyalty
Friend or family, you care about someone, be loyal to them, if you can’t be, then don’t claim to care about them.

Oh there are so many more, but I think I will leave it here :joy:

When you haven’t seen someone in a long time and they have the audacity to talk about your taste in clothing. Bruhh, my body, my damn choice!

Chit-chats. I hate polite conversations about nothing.

When people touch me. Including family members.

When people put words into my mouth or assume something that is not true.
