The topic of love has always been present in art - true love, lovers, unrequited love have been expressed through paintings and other forms of art. There are several artworks that represent that so my question is, what artworks represent true love to you?
As much as I would like to say The Lovers by Rene Magritte because it’s one of my favourite paintings, it doesn’t represent true love and it has a bit of a morbid backstory.
The Kiss (Gustav Klimt) just might be it. It also might be a cliche but it’s beautiful in so many ways!
Psyche revived by Cupid’s kiss (Antonio Canova) is a cute sculpture I had to mention!
