There are several reasons for not playing a board game that you actually want to play. Maybe you just don’t have that game. Or it’s a multiplayer game and nobody else is interested. Another reason could be that you just don’t have the time to play it.

The Game of Life. I once played it with my friends and it was so much I wished to play again. Unfortunately, I can’t play at home since no one is interested in playing with me. I’m broke and you have to pay to play it online, so gg
Probably something like Cludo though I wish I knew more tabletop games in general
