My period cycle still isn’t regular… not even tracking it at this point… I think I’m getting cramps? I get all the bad stuff usually before my period starts. Once I got cramps so bad that all I could do was sit in bed, going between positions and waiting it out because I don’t trust pain meds not to give me worse side effects lol. I don’t have a heating pad or hot water bottle or any of that, but um, breathing and like complaining about it in my head made it a little easier lol. It came in waves so like relishing those moments when I didn’t have cramps was great lol.
I don’t get cramps or any other sort of pain when I’m on my period. But I do get light cramps days before my period starts. I got my period at a very late age (than average), so I haven’t been dealing with it a lot yet…
Same, same.
Ah yeah same for me as well lol. I’m 16 now and got it around when I was 15.
Lol samee… ;-;
I usually have bad periods so I’ve gotten an unusual pain tolerance at this point. As the norm with most periods I buy lots of sweets to eat on and I get really hungry on my periods. I’m on it as well right now. So if I seem snappy this week it’s because of this. Most of the time I take 4 advil 200 mg tablets and a midol complete or two to get through the day. Like, you would not believe how many snacks I have bought that is all sweets this whole week and I’ve eaten like half of them already. I also bought an electric heating pad that you place up against the part that hurts the most to ease the pain without pain killers. I use for my period time and when my back acts up after doing too much work. I tend to buy pain sleep aid during this time so that I can stay asleep since the pain keeps me up otherwise. So they also say to not drink anything with caffeine because it makes the cramps worse so that is something to consider if you can swap a caffeinated drink for something else. If you have a heater you can plug up in your room then I would do so since heat eases pain most times during periods. I do not have a regular cycle so this what I have to do to deal with the week. I also tend to use the maxi pads because I hate tampons. I tend to sleep like 14 hours when on my period if I can get to sleep that is. I stay in the house during this time because I get really self-conscious when on my period in public.
Also, this is when I get the most volatile towards people that provoke me. Otherwise, I’m even more laid back than usual.
I eat chocolate and cry. I’ve tried coffee but it made my head hurt.
I don’t like tampons either. Pads work just fine. I only use tampons if I’m really in the mood to swim and have made plans to swim with other people, but that only happened twice in my life.
I never could get the period cup in correctly so I gave up on it.
Midol makes me very sleepy so I usually just take paracetamol when I have cramps since they aren’t that severe.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I get annoyed with the tampons. Ironically, anytime I made plans to swim my period would start the a couple days before each time. Always happens on vacations too. Midol helps me be nicer to people since if I’m cramping I can come off very snippy and not talkative at work. Period time is a literal hell for me.
I just got on mine when you made this, lol. I’m lucky enough not to almost never get cramps, but my flow gets SUPER heavy. Like, 3 tampons in an hour heavy. So mostly just carrying around a ready kit and trying not to die from blood loss
I actually have every two weeks since taking 3 different pills . But at least I’m used to it.
Way back then I would had my period one month then it doesn’t return until 3 month since having thyroid disease since that diagnosed at age 19. If you don’t know.
I swear period pains feels like you’ve been shot. Like you place your hand onto your stomach and fall to the floor.
So um, I’ve never gotten any cramps or pain before on my period. My mother and sister have never gotten any either, I guess it runs in the family? Lol. My day to day life doesn’t really change since I don’t experience period pain, other than the usual, changing pads etc, putting a towel on my bed at night so that I don’t go WHOOSH on my bed sheets when I sleep, yeah.
I do that too lol
that is so true
I used to sleep on a towel but now I barely bleed at night which is odd
I am not a femoid, but personally when friends/ partners have historically been on their period I would get them chocolate and hugs
Can confirm, if the electro-shock test thing I did years back was even close to how painful real periods cramps are, it’s comparable to getting stabbed at least
Is it that thing you wore to test out what it’s like for men to have period pains?
But yeah, it does feel like you’ve got stabbed or shot. Sometimes, you can faint from it.
