Corporal punishment is punishment involving pain and or humiliation, and capital punishment is the death penalty, essentially. That’s really all it is.

I don’t think the death penalty is not a good thing. Of course I can understand that there are people who say ‘if you kill someone the death penalty is fair’ but there are actions still bound to the death penalty that aren’t right.
For example, I heart some texan lawyer is trying to make abortion punishable by death panalty, this includes of caused unwantedly.
As for pain, no, humiliation could work depending on the form.
Lets be honest you are more likely to climb a tree if you broke an arm than if you fall down and rip your pants for all the other people to see.
But it shouldn’t be a kind of humiliation that would just downright belittle the person and just make them less than us, there needs to be a well thought way to do it.
