What’s the meaning of your favourite song?

Many songs have a deeper meaning in general or to a person. For me, my favourite songs have a lot of meanings to me, even if not all of it is just because of the song itself but what I associate it with.

Let’s talk about this!
What’s the meaning of your favourite song?

First we need to figure out what my favorite song is…

What do you mean? (It’s a dare)

Loyalty and devotion.
It seems that the message of the song is that the guy cannot be there for the girl all the time, and that their relationship wouldn’t work out because of this.

The following lines suggest that:
“Callin’ it quits cuz baby I’m a wreck”
“You’re a sunflower; I think your love would be too much.”
“Every time I’m leavin’ on ya, you don’t make it easy, no, wish I could be there for you…”
“I know you’re scared of the unknown, you don’t wanna be alone, but I always come and go, and it’s out of my control.”

She loves him, and he loves her, but he cannot be with her.
At least that’s how I interpret it.

One of my favorite songs would be The Truth Untold by BTS.
the meaning behind this song is about how difficult it is to mask yourself, fearing how others will see you for who you are. in the song, they sing about how lonely and isolated it feels to have others see you for what you choose to show and not for who you really are

I’d like to tag @Music here and see why you guys like your favourite song and what’s the meaning of it

I can’t pick between Pretty little girl by Blink-182 and Anything by Catfish and the bottlemen. Two of my favourite bands and two of my favourite songs.
Pretty little girl is a song that tells the story of young love and all the possibilities they can have, providing they stay strong and stick together through hardship. Tom wrote that for his wife
But Anything… ah, I just love that song so much. I just relate to it in a way. It’s about a relationship in which the singer sees a long-term future. Van writes about compromise for the sake of keeping the relationship strong.

@Music, what’s the meaning of your favorite song(s)? It can be your current favorite, the one you’re really into this week, or your all-time favorite. Or one that you like right now.

I guess since I have three favorites now, I’ll just explain the three.

Sunflower :sunflower:: Loyalty and devotion, loving someone unconditionally and wanting to be with them even though the other person cannot be there for you
Circles :yellow_circle: :black_circle:: A situation that you can’t get out of and that you wish to escape but keep going back to the beginning.
Better Now :face_with_thermometer: :arrow_left: :arrow_right::hugs: : Trying to move on after a relationship has ended, and seeing that the other person thinks they are currently doing better, but you keep on looking back at those good times even though your life has changed

Anyone else care to comment their songs?

Well I love The Beatles because……idk. I really like all their songs and it would take forever to explain each one.

Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy by Queen is important to me because I was listening to it when I was told my dog died. It gets deeper but I rather not share.

Maybe you could just pick one you like. It doesn’t have to be your definite favorite.
