The Netherlands was part of the Western front. Technically you could say the side of the Allies. Though, the Dutch haven’t fought that much in the war, it was quickly under German control and after bombing Rotterdam the Dutch army retreated basically.

We were quite involved tho, as in a lot of Dutch people died, there are a couple of camps in the Netherlands and there were some significant battles in the Netherlands. It’s still important to a lot of Dutch people. The WW2 memorial on the 4th of May is still one of the most important days here, and like at 8PM the whole country is completely silent for 2 minutes.
